PokeBeach's November 2018 PTCGO Tournament, Sponsored by TCGplayer.com!

@PrimePokeDaddy won 2-1 over @lukas2aces. In case there is someone who doesn’t know, @lukas2aces is a class act! He accommodated my holiday schedule and issues, and all three games had a crazy result. Good luck in your future matches.

    Discussion Granbull (LOT)

This deck definitely requires a lot of thought. I think the good zoroark gx players that can plan ahead and plan their walk through what is in their deck on the fly can dominate with it, but it can bite you when you discard resources you need a couple turns later.

Discussion Is starting 2nd becoming a big problem? Should it be balanced?

I would seem you have a pretty ready made sample with day two streams over the past few years, if someone wanted to crunch the numbers. However, wouldn’t you expect that the game designers did quite a bit of controlled testing before changing the first turn rule a while back? I agree it feels...

    Discussion White Kyurem from LOT?

Maybe I’ve just been lucky, but even with gx decks it seems to run out of steam (pardon the pun) if you target the fire energy on the board. Shrine is also a little less of a threat now that more stadiums are being played to counter the prism star stadiums as well as shrine.

PokeBeach's November 2018 PTCGO Tournament, Sponsored by TCGplayer.com!

@PrimePokeDaddy wins 2-1 over @Nano_op12 Really interesting deck to play against with mine. Extremely well played first game for him. He had tough draws on the second. And we had a really hard fought game 3, but I found the right cards, when I needed them. Best of luck with the rest of the...

@PrimePokeDaddy wins 2-1 over @thembert It came down to game three, and he made the perfectly correct play, but lady luck smiled down on my draws for the rest of the game. Great opponent, I truly enjoy playing against you, and good luck in the rest of the tournament!

    Help Beating Archie's Blastoise

Archie's Blastoise wasn't played much when I started, but I'm seeing it a lot more in expanded now. Ability lock, item lock, and 1 prize attackers seem to be good. But I'm wondering how to attack it with an agressive deck that doesn't limit items or abilities and attacks with mainly GX and EX...

News Japan's First 2019 Sets: 'Night Unison,' 'Full Metal Wall'

Agreed, as a fan of the anime, my kids and I love Dedenne and Bonnie. For the card game they don't actually have to have names for any reason except to identify the cards. For us its the relationship to the shows and video games and the art that make it really fun. My daughter is wondering...

    Ruling When is it played?

I couldn't find anything in the rules about this, so I thought I would pose the question here. I was playing a game and my opponent used Wonder Tag, they went into the deck pulled a Guzma, put it on the mat, and then started shuffling their deck. They then pulled a Cynthia, put the Guzma back...

News 'Dark Order,' Japan's October Mini-Set!

Jirachi will be the Lele-lite for shrine decks. They already play a lot of supporters so will likely be able to find one they can use. Plus escape board is awesome with it, because it will give you another free retreater and works around the asleep condition.
