Discussion Altering Prize Rulings and Going 2nd

I know this is going to come off as unfortunate for you, but random prizes are one of the key points in Pokemon. The fact that you don't know what prizes you have until you look through your deck, how you have to adjust to your strategy, and how you now have to maybe play different is a huge...

Do you mean Froakie? If so, this play has been out for a while, since Wally came out.

Discussion Is it Even Possible to Make a Kartana Deck

In my opinion, Kartana is only good as a tool. Metagross, for example, could use that ability to take care of Drampa, Geotech System onto Kartana, and use the attack. My honest answer is no. It does have a decent ability, a decent attack, and a far beyond decent GX, but if it has to be it's own...

    Expanded Mimikyu GX!!

If you like the GX attack, Toxapex GX has the same attack, but more damage and the same energy cost.

    Standard Sylveon GX (Post Rotation)

I run Volcanion also, and it's a 50-50 situation. Here's what I normally run into: VOLCANION WINS: This deck must get an average or above average start and get a lot of energies on the board. When you are only attaching 1 or 2 energies per turn, Sylveon will completely run over you. So, by...

    Standard Sylveon GX (Post Rotation)

That's a great thing, but Sylveon isn't about JUST milling. You need to clear the board on their side of energies and keep their hand low or to nothing before you can start to safely mill.

    Standard Sylveon GX (Post Rotation)

It's quite a great card, but I'm focusing on Standard right now. As Crimson is released, I will make a new post with cards from that. Until then, this deck is for Current Packs only.

    Standard Sylveon GX (Post Rotation)

Ahh, I love these posts. Space Beacon Starmie is incredibly difficult to deal with in my experience, so I understand your problems there. Waterbox is an odd deck, indeed, so I definitely think it is an easy win. Garb/Espeon is kinda a difficult match up in my opinion as the confusion is pretty...

    Standard Sylveon GX (Post Rotation)

Quite a valid point, I'll probably substitute 4 Mount Lanakila to 4 Parallel City. I understand the great potential of Chaos Tower, but I want consistency. Thanks for the idea!

    Standard Sylveon GX (Post Rotation)

That's quite a valid point. However, I've run many TRH (4 at one point) and it kinda hurt my chances for helping my side other than decking them out. Sure, it's a staple in the deck, but I need the chance to get a Plumeria or a Team Flare Grunt from top deck, not a card that only affects the...

If you only run 1, maybe only 2 or 3.

    Help Bats

Unfortunately, Seismitoad doesn't seem as good anymore. We have new ways to snipe off the bench, to add mroe damage without doing anything, swarm faster than Bat lines in old Pokemon caves. Although it does seem very good, I just can't say it's top tier in Expanded.

    Help Bats

Quite. 4-4-3 is what I would run, cause with Quaking Punch, that's only 30 damage. However, it can be boosted very quickly with no only Bats, but also poison with Virbank City Gym AND the new Seviper (one more damage counter on their poisoned.) to boost it pretty well. Choice Band to harm them...

Ah, ok. Why 4 Pokemon Fan Clubs?

Free retreat is great and all, but not only does it not disrupt your opponent, Gardevior GX is in the meta as of now.

    Standard Sylveon GX (Post Rotation)

Also, you absolutely NEED to start a Sylveon GX turn 1. Ten energies is the minimal amount, I'll admit that. If you think 7 or 8 is good enough, you might need to run Oricorio with the Professor's Letter ability.

    Standard Sylveon GX (Post Rotation)

Gumshoos GX is great and all, but I absolutely need to start with an Eevee turn 1. It's great that you can look at your opponents hand, but Gumshoos is a two retreat cost and, unless you play Float Stone, which is pretty much useless when you don't have Gumshoos on the bench, he's stuck there.

    Standard Sylveon GX (Post Rotation)

That's a good play, I will admit. I will put in 2 into my deck and see how it goes.
