Blog Playing with Scizor: Piloting the Pincer Pokémon in Today's Meta

"Iron Crusher OHKO’s baby Volcanion, but…yeah." No, it doesn't. volcanion has 130 hp.

M latios ex deck, with a splash of dedenne for some reason

yes you do. Devolution spray says the pokemon you devolved can't evolve on the same turn (likely because the previous stage is considered as coming into play that turn). Also, my advice: Mega latios can hit for 120 snipe damage, and as such is best suited (IMO) to sniping shaymins off your...

Expanded Round Deck (Seismitoad / Whismur)

If your deck is expanded, why dont you play meloetta ex? it has round as well.

Expanded Speed Darkrai EX / Friends for Spring Regionals

Another card you can try is the pokemon20 promo darkrai. Its second attack puts pokemon to sleep, requires two heads to wake up between turns, and does 80 damage, all for [D][D][C]. This could be a partial solution to jolteon, as flash ray only protects from damage, not effects (such as sleep).

Japan's XY11: 'Explosive Fighter / Cruel Traitor', CP5: 'Mythical / Legendary Dream Holo Collection'

I noticed on the three revealed dual type pokemon (volcanion, M gardevoir, and azumaril), the attack cost energy is the type listed first. Curious.

Japan's XY10 Set: 'Awakening of Psychic Kings,' Alakazam!

Quick math for zygarde, assuming you go second, get a strong energy, muscle band, and fighting stadium out, that's 100 damage for a single energy. OR, you could use a fighting fury belt and regirock ex to stay at 100, but have a 230 hp basic pokemon to sponge damage.

Standard Clemont's Lightning (Raikou / Magnezong)

Jolteon would make your night march match-up a lot better, as all your attackers require three energy to attack and have low health, meaning night march is probably a difficult match-up. One copy of jolteon-EX will enable you to swing the match in your favor. If you are looking for things to...

    Standard Accelerated Primal Groudon EX

You should probably add 1 battle compressor and 1-2 more mega turbos as well. it is a much better solution than max elixer IMO. plus battle compressor gives you access to supporters via vs seeker.

    Standard Scizor-EX / Zoroark / Bronzong

Thanks for the suggestions Omnom. The sycamore to shauna ratio is the way it to keep myself from decking out, and the vs seekers allow me to reuse a sycamore if I need another. I did not try judge instead of shauna for one reason... I forgot about it. I will try that asap. As for the max elixer...

    Standard Scizor-EX / Zoroark / Bronzong

Hi all! This is my first deck list post here, so there may be some mistakes with the formatting. Pokemon: 14 4 Scizor-EX 2 Shaymin-EX 2 Bronzor (PHP) 2 Bronzong (PHP) 2 Zorua (BKT) 2 Zoroark (BKT) Trainers/Supporters/Stadiums: 35 1 Hex Maniac 1 Skyla 2 Shauna 3 Professor Sycamore 1 Lysandre...

Standard Dark Head (Darkrai EX / Malamar EX)

reverse valley could make the difference if you use fighting spirit belt instead of muscle band. Then your Darkrai would have 220 hp, and still hit for 180 (160+10+10).

It's kinda hard to make Darkrai "cutesy". ... You are right though.

Discussion Fairies in Standard Post Breakpoint

Regular scizor ex can still hit for 110 (220 weakness) without evolving.

Standard Turbo Lance (M Manectric EX / Raikou)

I am currently running a very similar deck, and I find having a single copy of pikachu ex for late game mega KOs is very helpful. Also, without muscle bands, your energy math does not work out quite as well for having both raikous out at once. lets assume You have 1 M manectric powered up (2...

because the first one releases in February.

Standard M Ampharos EX / M Manectric EX for PTCGO

You will also probably want about 2-3 battle compressors. My experience with Manectric/ampharos was how difficult it was to get one ampharos set up in time for it to do any good, and they are fantastic lysandre bait when they have no energy.

Standard Night March / Vespiquen for Cities

My take on this deck is a bit odd, as I run no shaymin or bunnelby, max ultra balls, AOR eevee and flareon (2-2), no shuffle draw (ie: birch, shauna), acro bike, and fire energy for blacksmith, with a single copy of Bridgette to get unknowns out early. stadium wise I use FGP and parallel city...

Japan's XY9 Set: 'Rage of the Broken Sky,' New 'Battle Strengthening Sets'

The second attack has amazing synergy with breakthrough zorark. Stand in, floatsone retreat, 110 damage with scizor.

    Standard Pikachu EX / Magnezone

    - 2 weakness policy -2 DCE - 1 Mangneton - 2 mega turbo +2 assault vest +1 rare candy +1 Skyla +1 battle compressor +2 vs seeker IMO, weakness policy is not an amazing card, and the flash energy does exactly the same thing for your electric pokemon, and you should have mewtwo covering that...

    M Sceptile-EX Variants

Somehow, my brother managed to fit a 2-2-2 beautifly line into his M Sceptile deck. HE runs a 3-2 M Sceptile line and 2-2 ariados, and it works quite well for him. granted, night march/vespiquen or any other non ex deck rips him to shreds, he can hold his own against most EX heavy decks.
