    Discussion Most Broken Pokemon Cards

One problem is that a lot of people (card designers included) seem to think that basing a card around the simple structure of "give card upside-> give card downside -> make sure upside is equivalent to downside" is "balanced" but there are far too many factors to consider. At face value...

Well... I think a "rogue deck" has to be a competitive deck by it's nature, as it's a deck that was made as a response to the competitive metagame. ...but that said, I make all sorts of goofy decks. I typically have a lot more fun playing weird, fun decks than I do playing competitive ones.

Article Deck Design 101- A Guide to Deck Building!

Glad you liked it! You're more than entitled to your opinion as well of course. All of us havng our own ideas on how to approach a deck is what makes this game great, after all! There's a lot that could be changed and different ways the deck can be played, I just chose a configuration that I...

What Hobbies Do You Have Besides Pokémon?

I'm an encyclopedia of video game knowledge. I spend an awful lot of my spare time reading and watching videos about obscure video game history. I also have an upstart little indie studio I'm getting off the ground, but that's barely worth mentioning right now as it's still in the pretty early...

Ancient Origins [8/15, aka Bandit Ring]

This Golurk is actually pretty decent. I don't think he'll see too much play right off the bat as his type coverage doesn't really do him that many favours in the current format. Paired with that new Jolteon he can be used to OHKO Yveltal and M-Ray but there aren't any really big threats who are...

    E3 2015 Discussion

@Rusty Sticks Step 1- Gather up all Pokemon/Kirby/Vocaloid promotional merchandise that may be getting handed out to visitors. Step 2- Mail it to my address Really, that's the most important thing someone could do at E3.

Standard Teenage Mutant Ninja Toads (Seismitoad EX / Greninja)

Try TCG One. That's the best place to test stuff. I'm on there frequently so maybe I'll even test with you sometime!

Standard Teenage Mutant Ninja Toads (Seismitoad EX / Greninja)

Some suggestions that immediately come to mind: 1) That 4-4-4 Greninja line is a bit much. I'd cut it down to 3-1-3 and run Rare Candy. 2) Drop the Ultra Balls and just run 3/4 Dive Balls 3) Replace Silver Bangle with Muscle Band. Seismitoad can't use Silver Bangle. 4) I've never felt it...

    The Pet Thread!

Hey, we can't always be all about fictional animal companions around here; let's talk about our real ones! Do you have a Cat? Dog? Alpaca? I love seeing people's pets and swapping stories! To get started, here are my cats, Luigi and Vriska: They both live up to their namesakes quite well...

    E3 2015 Discussion

I'm hoping for lots of surprises this year. Obviously Nintendo is the one I care about most and they're typically the least predictable. The only things I can even remotely predict from them is maybe a big announcement that Mother 3 is coming to Wii U Virtual Console (in English!) Of course...

    Discussion NinjaToads

Well, the idea has potential. I've seen people play Seismitoad EX with Crobat, so running a Stage 2 alongside the Toad isn't too bad an idea. Do you have a specific list in mind? It's easier to critique the deck and offer some feedback if you at least lay out a possible decklist. EDIT: Although...

Ancient Trait Sableye Promo in 'CoroCoro Ichiban'

I'm also actually hoping for Junk Hunt to come back in some way, even if it's nerfed a little. If it was only able to grab 1 item from the discard it wouldn't be nearly as broken. That being said, think they'll do something a little more creative with this Sabeleye.

Speculation [Theory] The Next Pokemon Games

Dude, the problem here is that whether you realize it or not, you're actually hurting the community. Because of the changes to the layout of the site, your thread that claims to have information on the next main Pokemon games is visible on the front page of Pokebeach.com- a site known for...

Speculation [Theory] The Next Pokemon Games

While I certainly don't doubt we'll eventually get another game in this gen, there is definitely nothing about this information that is a leak. 5 seconds of research would show that the OP 15 is years old (an age where one is generally not privy to any sort of internal information but very much...

Article Take a Bite With Crobat/Wobbuffet!

@Windfish This, mostly. ...But also the fact that Rough Seas doesn't really do that good a job of keeping up with the damage output this deck has. A single 30 damage Surprise Bite means a 60 damage (banded) Psychic Assault. that's 90 damage total. healing 30 damage from that still leaves 60...

Article Take a Bite With Crobat/Wobbuffet!

@Carson Sith I appreciate the input! I run Skyla because there are plenty of situations where I need a single, specific item in my deck and I'd rather have the guarantee of getting it than rely on a draw supporter to maybe get it. Sometimes it's a muscle band for that extra damage I need to KO...

Article Take a Bite With Crobat/Wobbuffet!

@Luxray Haha, believe me, budget constraints were a factor the drew me to rogue decks as well. I can't say I've experimented with THAT Whiscash in particular (I've only tried the Ancient Trait one out a bit in my Shedinja deck), but I can see where you're going with that idea. Shutting off an...
