now, you already know that the effect resides on the Defending Pokemon, so you've answered it all! Any Benching or evolving removes all effects of attacks, so reversals will remove the Silver Wind, and Feint Attack will not get the +30 damage (unless it's attacking the Active without benching)...

well, if you're so keen on figuring out the max damage, you can add another 40 with 4 PlusPowers if it's in unlimited :P

shut off Shiftry ex's power? It's a body! And not to mention, Medicham ex's aura ignores pokemon-ex. Anyone thought of using Shiftry ex + Jolteon ex instead? Far better than wasting a turn for bench attacking. Teching in a Rayquaza ex d is also nice.

Wrong. The smokescreen effect is on YOUR active, not on the opponent Pokemon. That means, you still have to flip for swift, as long as you did not retreat or evolve your Active. If the Defending used attacks like Agility that prevent all effects of attacks, only then can Swift go through it.
