Nice one. Hopefully they print more attacks that can benefit from this card.
atm, it's not worth playing. I can only think of these cards: R Greninja, Pawmot PAF, Garchomp ex, Ampharos ex, Iron Boulder ex.
Sorry, I meant to say they changed “this Pokémon can’t use this attack during your next turn” to “this Pokémon can’t use this attack until it leaves the active spot”. I think it’s a good change to make things a bit more clear.
Why did they change the wording from “This Pokémon can’t use Exploding Flare during your next turn” to “This Pokémon can’t use Exploding Flare again until it leaves the Active Spot”? Are they trying to make the out-of-active-spot rules more clear?
I’m pretty sure the idea is to use weakness to your advantage, so you can evolve to Flareon, Jolteon or Vaporeon depending on your opponents active. Not saying it’s a good deck, just thinking 180 damage is ok in this case.
I actually think the change is good. It was weird to have another subcategory in the items subcategory just for tools. It will feel weird at the beginning but it makes sense.
Powercreep makes old cards obsolete, which translate to people needing to acquire new cards (which equals more sales). Although powercreep is hated by players, it's a good marketing strategy for The Company.
I think it's fair to compare GX to the new ex and finally aknowledge the power creep.
Magnezone ex is a 2-prizer stage 2. It has 330hp.
Metagross GX was a 2-prizer stage 2. It had 250hp.
That's 80hp difference, which kinda equals to an extra prize card. 330hp is also the same hp as any 3 prizer...
