JustInBasil, Longtime Contributor to the Pokemon TCG Community, Has Passed Away

Rest in peach and condolences to his family and close ones.

I followed his website, and this one, for top-quality Pokemon TCG information, and often watched your videos. Such a kind and generous person.

This was very hard news and a massive blow to the PTCG community... Persons like these are rare and irreplaceable, but let his work be an inspiration for those that follow.

Let's make a petition to TPCi, for some tribute to Justin/Jason.

I have been listening to the podcast and read the pokebeach for some time, but never made a user. It was time to do that now to pay my respect to the great Justin. You could hear in his voice that he was a warm and caring person. His students was lucky to have him as a teacher. The community will miss his passion, a passion that have inspired me to pursue TCGs beyond that of collecting and playing. The work the two of you have done is more than the community ever could ask for, and I hope you (John) somehow finds strength to carry on. Love from Norway

I'm so shocked and saddened by this news. While I never knew him personally, his contributions, both to this site and to his local community, will be missed. He seemed like a great guy.

I'm just catching up from a long weekend, but wow this is incredibly saddening news. I would like to +1 my support and love to Justin and his family and friends.

Excellent summary of Justin's accomplishments and I feel I truly understand the passion he had for Pokémon. We'll see you soon, Justin!

I wouldn't believe this headline if it wasn't coming from Jon, absolutely unreal to think we've lost such a legend in the hobby. I'm so so sorry to hear of this loss. May he rest in peace 🙏
