Bouffalant ex has just been revealed from Black Bolt and White Flare! The set will release in Japan on June 6th and will then release in English on July 18th.
Bouffalant ex - Colorless - HP220
Basic Pokémon
Ability: Bouffer
This Pokemon takes 30 less damage from attacks (after applying Weakness and Resistance).
[C][C][C] Gold Breaker: 100+ damage. If your opponent’s Active Pokemon is a Pokemon ex, this attack does 100 more damage.
Weakness: Fighting (x2)
Resistance: none
Retreat: 2
This card is a spiritual reprint of Bouffalant from Dragons Exalted, down to the exact same Ability and attack names...

I feel like all card games do this and it's actually a blatant 'FU' to it's consumers. Purposely making "bulk" product making their already trash pull rates even worse is so disrespectful. But they'll never stop because you'll always have people consuming it.

Sadly it would not, as SCR Bouffalant states specifically Bouffalant, not Bouffalant ex

It won't. It would have to say "If you have at least 1 other Pokémon in play with Bouffalant in its name" for it to count. But, you could have the two SCR Bouffalant on the Bench and then Bouffalant-ex would get a 90 damage shield with Bouffer and Curly Wall.

See Tapu Koko ex from destined rivals, see pikachu ex from prismatic, absolute slop

Regirock and electivire ex from destined also are only mildly better

There's no way to make a balanced game where every card is playable other than basically only releasing like 2 sets a year with 30-50 cards each. Besides, Pokémon is primarily for collectors.

"Feel like"? Every card game has to make a roster of commons so that the rares can be "rare".
 
12 exes I believe and we've got confirmation for Reshiram, Zekrom, Jellicent, Keldeo, Jellicent, Moeletta, Serperior and this.

I'm sure Kyurem will get one as a deagon type meaning only fighting/dark unaccounted for which will take up 2/3 of the last spots at least.

So maybe Conkeldurr/Gigalith and maybe Scolipede/Garbador?

Not the end of the world. I love Chandelure to death but I know these Pokémon have a waaay better chance at having one during other sets. Niche and a bit more obscure Pokémon like Jellicent have way less chances. It’d be so boring to have all 12 be the top 12 popular or something. Not to mention we still do have popular among those 12 it’s obviously not all niche picks
