All 239 “Celestial Guardians” Cards Revealed from “Pocket!”

This looks like a fairly solid set with a lot of great art. It seems like they might wait until a future small set to include Ultra Beasts.

Typical mahou art, boring placement and save textures. Not a good card to make this point, when 90% of SV ARs look a lot better.

There are a lot of cards in here that are quite good, but not different what their artist do on the real cards. the yellow Oricorio is the same as the fire ape, lunala and solgaleo re pretty much what AKIRA EGAWA does. These cards are great, but fill the same role as n the real life TCG.

That said, the Rainbow cards are quite weak this time.

If you call this "pastel" I have some news for you. This card stand out by its composition, its sharpness, and its playful colors. Cosmog and Minior are two other great examples

I also agree that physical cards often have pastel hues, and soft painterly looks, which I hate. Pocket cards are more direct and honest

As you might have noticed, I disagree with you on almost everything you ever bring up
 
Since pocket is so ass to even look at cards on, does anyone know of how to obtain new raw art files or know if any of the artists upload their work to social media? I cannot stand the crust of these digital cards and the artwork is impacted due to that

If it was like the gen 4 set where only one of them got an ex, I’d be less upset but they hade to deliberately choose to do this. My boy gets hate in both the irl cards and pocket now to

Oh and I think this set looks closer to something we’d get physically, not sure why. A lot of just “Pokémon standing somewhere”, even if I do adore Alolan Raichu. Can’t believe we got incineroar armpit before a new Primarina card.
 
Man this brings me back to sun and moon in the tcg, way way too many secret rares to ever expect you to get everything. at least they have good art this time instead of just being a rainbow version of the full art so its not too bad but i dont expect to ever get what i need from this set without having to drop money which is probably why they do it but im not dropping anything, ill just trade or use old decks
 
With everyone talking about physical releases I think it would be cool if they did some like small set full of reprint arts just from this

The alakazam ex card from genetic apex would be the art while the alakazam ex from 151 would have the text
 
Pokemon is killing it at the art cards for tcg pocket but the actual tcg card are cool but mostly mid in comparison to these.
 
The Lunala and Solgaleo "SIRs" really look like they were meant to be printed physically and displayed side by side... Why make connected artwork for Pocket?
