Discussion Pidgey Control - how to beat Naganadel

Hi everyone,

so I've been playing around with Sander's Pidgey control list from Cologne Regionals. My main problem with the deck is how to beat decks like Dark Box or Blowns that use Naganadel to recover energies from the discard pile.
I get that I can use Girafarig to Lost Zone the energies but that seems to be a very flimsy strategy considering that I have to hit Crushing Hammers + have the Girafarig active and ready to attack.

Any advice what the best strategy against these kinds of decks is?

Take a pokemon with no energy and strand it in the active with custom catcher. Against Dark Box you also have to stick a Power Plant to keep weavile from moving energies onto the active pokemon.
