If Dust Island Stadium (Whenever either player switches their Poisoned Active Pokémon with 1 of their Benched Pokémon with the effect of a Trainer card, the new Active Pokémon is now affected by that Special Condition) is in play, and I use Muk & Alolan Muk GX's Severe Poison attack, the current Defending Pokémon will be inflicted with 8 damage counters from this attack. Should my opponent replace his/her poisoned Active Pokémon with another, will the replacement Pokémon receive 8 or 1 damage counter at the end of my opponent's turn?

Thank you.

Q. If I Switch my Active Pokemon that is affected by Poison from Muk & Alolan Muk GX's "Severe Poison" attack and Dust Island is in play, does my new Active Pokemon take the extra damage counters?
A. Yes, it does. Dust Island specifies that it is affected by "that Special Condition". (Unbroken Bonds FAQ; May 2, 2019 TPCi Rules Team)
