Discussion Unbroken Bonds Unofficial and Partial Set List

If you note many of the previous sets in the Sun & Moon block, there have been far fewer straight reprints, unless the reprint has new art - therefore, even if certain cards are given reprints in Japanese sets, that doesn't mean they're likely to make it into our English set.

Yeah. Now that we know that are 214 cards in the set, if we exclude escape rope, ultra ball and rare candy, and 3 TagTeam FA from the set, we have exactly 214 cards, but then isn't possible to add cards that were promo in Japan like Samson Oak and Energy Spinner. I really don't know how this set will be for us. :/

I think it's going to be a straight combination of the three Japanese sets with no promos.

In the speculative set lists posted so far Misdreavus and Mismagius from Double Blaze are missing, but it's easy to slot them in by taking out Energy Spinner and Pokemon Center Lady.

Stupidly I misadd the Mismagius line. I remove ReshiZard and MelCario Alt FA because of the predicting promo inclusion

I would be pretty depressed if Welder FA is not in the set. Hopefully they will omit either some regular cards for blisters later on or maybe some of the Special Art FAs. I'm not getting my hopes up though.

I don't know why Cleffa can't go before Clefairy, it did so in the Japanese HGSS sets despite being unable to evolve directly into Clefairy, and Pichu and Smoochum were put before Pikachu and Jynx respectively. (Just sayin')

I think if we remove Blastoise FA, Pokémon Fan Club, Escape Rope, Ultra Ball and Rare Candy from the japanese sets, and also remove 3 Tag Team to be used whitin Tin, we'll have vacancy on the 214 cards, so we could probably include Samson Oak in the set.

What are yall removing? If you add the 28 FAs and remove the 15 reprinted cards 3 TTFA, and Blastoise FA, I'm still left with 9 extra cards I believe.

My list has 220 cards, with Welder FA being the #220. Like we know, it'll be 214 cards, so we have to exclude 6 cards. I can exclude for the japanese sets: Escape Rope, Pokémon Fan Club, Blastoise FA, Rare Candy, Ultra Ball and 3 of the TagTeam cards.

What are yall removing? If you add the 28 FAs and remove the 15 reprinted cards 3 TTFA, and Blastoise FA, I'm still left with 9 extra cards I believe.
So the total (without the RR and golden cards) is 232. We can remove the 12 TR cards from each set, and we're at 220. Then there's the Blastoise, which leaves us at 219. Then there's Escape Rope, Rare Candy, Ultra Ball and Pokémon Fan Club from Double Blaze, which takes us down to 215. Finally there's the 3 TTFA which leaves us at 212, which is where I've added Energy Spinner and Samson Oak to get to 214 :p

Thanks guys, I'm not even sure how I was getting that amount lol. So, I guess that means that the FA Welder will probably be in the set after all?

  • Set list updated.
  • Added Celesteela-GX and Beast Bringer
  • Abandoned Power Plant will be renamed.
  • Maybe Unmanned Power Plant.

無人発電所 is the Japanese name, which is the same term as used by the card that WOTC translated as simply "Power Plant" (and it seems like it was hastily retitled when somebody realized it was a video game reference, as the card breaks the usual alphabetical order of Trainer cards in Aquapolis's set listing). Maybe they'll go with "Kanto Power Plant" because that's the location the card is actually meant to be.

164 Beast Bringer
165 Crazy Pick
166 Deserted Power Plant
167 Devolution Spray Z
168 Dusk Stone
169 Dust Island
170 Electromagnetic Radar
171 Escape Rope
172 Fairy Charm L
173 Fairy Charm Ability
174 Fighting Dojo
175 Flame Crystal
176 Giovanni's Banishment
177 Green's Search
178 Janine
179 Koga's Trap
180 Lt. Surge Strategy
181 Metal Barrier
182 Molayne
183 PokéGear 3.0
184 Pokémon Fan Club
185 Rare Candy
186 Red's Challenge*
187 Secret Hood
188 Surprise Box
189 Ultra Ball
190 Ultra Forest's Kartenvoy
191 Welder
192 Triple Acceleration Energy

We probably aren't getting Ultra Ball in Unbroken Bonds, the new artwork from the Japanese set was used as an alternate art league promo. I'd also guess Escape Rope and Rare Candy could be used as league promos too.

Escape Rope had a new art from the GG End set. Ultra Ball may be off the set, as the Rare Candy and Pokémon Flan Club.
Samson Oak and Energy Spinner will probably be on the set instead.
