Week Eight – Idol of Life Competition

The Hostess claps, and the tagged houseguests become enveloped in a dark smoke. She grins and begins to speak once again.

“Houseguests, you have been tagged for death! In order to escape, you must play with the Grand Reaper and two "randomly" drawn houseguests to play for the Idol of Life! This Idol will allow you to save one of the tagged houseguests, or you may stab it with a knife to keep the tags the same! This week’s Idol competition contains…

Grand Reaper: @Blakers

Death Tag: @TOTAL_EPICNESS
Death Tag: @mirdo
Death Tag: @Little Cherrim

Remaining Draw: @Lord o da rings
Remaining Draw: @Hermes

This competition, you’ll be risking your lives playing…"

Well... This one I'm not going to tell you. Because I think it's more fun for you guys to find out yourselves. Click here!

You have just over 72 hours, or until October 20th, at 8PM PST to reach your highest score in order to win the Idol! You may submit your score at any time before the deadline, and submit as many scores as you’d like, but only your highest score counts.

Remember to include your PokéBeach ID to be visible in your screenshots, either an open tab of your profile or name, to prevent cheating. Submissions can be sent to me through Discord in PMs or Alliance Servers, or PMs on the Beach.
Here is your countdown!

As the competition begins, you catch a flash of light from the corner of your vision for a split-second.
You turn around and hear... what the hell is that?! Is that... lightning?!

As everyone steps away from the source of the sound, your eyes all turn to @mirdo, holding a long spear in their (gull) hands, as the tips light up with flashes of lightning.

What... is that?

Without sparing the house any seconds to think, mirdo readies the spear, and throws it...
...straight at @Hermes.

Congratulations! You have received Gungner, the Lightning Spear!
You may use this advantage anytime during a challenge. Upon using this advantage, you may stab any other player who is not tagged for death with Gungner, paralyzing them with electric shock and preventing them from playing in the current competition! However, upon using this advantage, the entire house will see the attack.

Hermes falls to their knees as an electric shock courses through their body. Oddly enough, the spear doesn't penetrate their body, and disappears, leaving only a paralyzed Hermes, now laying on the ground.

Well, that was certainly a shock, wasn't it? Who knew there was still an advantage in the house, much less one that works after the Red Moon?

@Hermes may no longer play in the current competition! If they have submitted a score, it has been reduced to zero, and they may not submit any new scores for the remainder of the challenge!

Week Eight – Idol of Life Announcement

The deadline has been reached! Let's see how our victims played...

3rd place: @Blakers with 374,320 points
2nd place: @TOTAL_EPICNESS with 344,219,520 points

1st place: With a grand score of 2,263,815,190, the Idol of Life for the eighth week goes to…
@Lord o da rings !

The Hostess tosses the Idol to Lorde, and presents them with the important question…
“What are you gonna do with that thing? You gonna stab it? Or save someone from a bloody death?”

Using the Idol of Life, you may pick a houseguest to save from their death tag, or leave the death tags the same! Your options of death tags are:
@TOTAL_EPICNESS
@mirdo
@Little Cherrim

You have 24 hours, or until October 21st at 8:00PM PST to publicly post your decision in this thread!

I’ll never understand why you guys do this to yourselves when it comes to Winterbells...

Alright these past three days have felt like a week and a half, I'm not wasting any time here, let's get this the hell done. I'm using the idol, and I'll be pulling @Little Cherrim from the block. Time for @Blakers to make a "choice" on who fills that spot.

Yeah, there literally are no other possible people left for me to nominate. Sorry @Hermes , you played an awesome game.

Week Eight – Massacre

As @Blakers speaks for their new tag, the dark smoke surrounds @Hermes and a red fluid oozes from the eyes of the Idol of Life.

"This going to be a fun night... Such a fun night...

These three have been tied down for oh so long... Clearly one of them has earned their safety for another week, however."

The Hostess snaps her fingers and the room darkens. You hear muffled yelling and the laughter of the Hostess you've now become accustomed to. The yelling stops eventually, and the darkness dissipates to reveal another gruesome sight:

@TOTAL_EPICNESS, @mirdo and @Hermes, locked in guillotines.

"Ohhhh, it's time for the best part. You have a short amount of time to free one of these sad souls from a painful death! Be mindful of who you kill, because their head may affect the rest of the game. Tonight, you will be approaching one of these three guillotines and attempting to stop the beheading of one of these three victims!

But let's not forget, we still have some fun twists left tonight!"

The Hostess gestures over to Dainslef, which is now floating above the ground and glowing.

"The ritual is complete! Which means... No one can hide! Your votes are going to be made public knowledge!"

She laughs.

"And well, I'd like some time to play as well! If one of you locked-up saps want to kill one of the others? I say why not? I'll give you a pass. Everyone votes tonight!"

@Blakers @Lord o da rings @Little Cherrim
In order to vote, send a public message in this thread showing which of the three tagged houseguests (That's TOTAL_EPICNESS, mirdo and Hermes) you'd like to save tonight. The other two are at very high risk of being killed! Failure to vote will result in a warning.

@TOTAL_EPICNESS @mirdo @Hermes
In order to vote, send a public message in this thread showing which of the three tagged houseguests (That's yourselves) you would like to kill tonight. That player is at a very high risk of being killed! Failure to vote will result in instant death, a fate you do not wish upon yourself!

You all have just over 24 hours from the time of this post, or until October 21st at 9:00PM PST.

Another note, your alliance chats are still locked. Stick to your dedicated Dainslef chats if you wish to discuss votes, but remember that they must all be made publicly! You are also not allowed to edit these posts!

Week Eight - End

The Death Ceremony has now reached its end, and all votes have been counted! Two of the three tagged houseguests were killed this ceremony and will be unable to compete to escape the House of Horrors! As they have been killed, they may not be in communication with any other houseguest about Big Brother as long as they remain out of the game.

Try as they might, the remaining three houseguests can only do so much to stop a blade of terror from beheading one of their fellow victims. The Hostess laughs with each new vote placed, grabbing a small knife and leaving large gashes in the faces of those targeted.

@TOTAL_EPICNESS: 3 votes to save, 1 vote to kill (Vote score of +2)
@mirdo: Zero votes to save, zero votes to kill (Vote score of 0)
@Hermes: 2 votes to kill (Vote score of -2)

As the red moon continues to shine its mysterious light into the room through the broken ceiling, the sliding of blades can be heard and with loud screams, two heads roll their way along the floor...

Those of @mirdo and @Hermes who have been killed, in fifth and sixth place! mirdo and Hermes will soon join the Haunted chat, where they will be the final say in the winner of the game!

You tug on the Ceremony Room doors. You need to exit this room and get back to yours so you can rest for the next week. But they don't budge.

This seems to be a little bit of a problem. You're stuck in the Ceremony Room for now. You all decide it's best to try and get to sleep together that night in the room.

Hostess Note

Laughter resonates through the house…

Unfortunately, this laughter is strong enough to wake up all of you. You rise from the floor and decide to take the time to do some investigation.

One of you eventually tries to open the Ceremony Room doors again, and with luck, they open perfectly fine.

Stepping into the hallway, you spot who could only be the Hostess, floating slightly above the ground. Is she... She couldn't be.

You decide that your rather forward playstyle won't stop here so the four of you approach her, curious as to what she's doing.

Approaching her further, you can hear soft crying coming from her. One of you speaks up and asks what she's doing, and she seems to disappear as if she was never there, leaving a piece of paper fluttering down onto the floor. You approach it and pick it up.

As you read the very limited amount of text on the page, you begin to hear her scream again. Loud screaming and laughing fills your ears for a while before...

...You rise from your sleeping spot in the Ceremony Room. Was it all a dream?

You look around at the other three houseguests. It seems you all had this experience.

...Not a dream.

At this point you will receive your end of week actions. You have 24 hours, or until October 22th at 10:00AM PST to submit.
Week Nine will begin once all houseguests have submitted their actions, or once the deadline is hit.

Week Nine - The Knife Game
The red moon continues its glow onto the bloodied floor of the Ceremony Room. No living person is even certain time has passed... Waking up from their slumber, the four remaining houseguests scan the room. The first thing that stands out is four desks, almost as if they'd been ripped right out of a middle-school classroom, which humorously enough seem to be way too short for our victims. Taking a walk towards those, they notice the Hostess sitting on the stage, with three large objects behind her each covered up by some kind of bloodstained sheet each.

"Good morning, victims! Before we start your killing this week, I'd like to introduce to you something new!"

She gets up and walks over to the sheets, pulling them off and revealing three beautifully made statues. They look out of place and almost like they were stolen right out of a museum. The first statue is the only one you immediately recognize, but you're even more confused when you wonder why it's here: One of the abominable snowman.
You can't recognize what the other two are supposed to be, but the second is of a floating person wearing a cloak. The face and other body parts aren't detailed, so you're unable to make out if it's a specific person at all, or if it was just made generally.
The third is strange, and features a short creature with the limbs of a human and the body and eyes of a moth. Its eyes are gigantic and take up about a third of its body each.

"My pride and joy... Well, one of them at least.

You see, there's a funny thing about these statues. They're all linked by a very specific theme. And if you can correctly guess the theme, well... you'll immediately win this competition, but this is your immediate ticket out of this house. That is... if you unlock the secrets of these statues... these other three houseguests will die."

...You all turn and look at each other. That's absolutely ridiculous! A free win? From the Hostess, of all people?

She laughs and leaves you to wonder.

"Now, let's get started, shall we?"

She carries down a small group of papers from the stage and places them at each of the four desks. Almost as if she's just another school teacher, one you'd never want detention with.

"Have you children ever heard of the Knife game? You know, that one where children stab the spaces in-between their fingers? Boring, if you ask me. They're all weak. So I figured, why don't we play that game in a fun way! Today you'll be cutting off one of your fingers!"

You all look appalled. Disgusted. She turns around and is shocked by your reactions.

"...What? I said you were leaving here alive. Not in one piece. Now, come sit at your desks and grab your knives. We've got some knives to use."

Sitting at the desks, or rather trying to fit into the smaller chairs, you look over the forms to see what looks like a test, just like you used to take in school.
All of the questions are multiple choice, and have five answers.
I wonder how this one could turn out.

For the start of The Knife Game, each of you will pick one of your five fingers (That's thumb, index, middle, ring, and pinky) to cut off. After the decision has been made by all of the players, you will have 48 hours to answer as many questions as you can correctly. The tests consist of 10 questions in a format of multiple choice with five answers, linked to each finger. You will not be able to choose the answer of the finger you cut off for every question on the test. Pick wisely, houseguests! You have 24 hours or until October 22nd at 7:00PM PST to cut off one of your fingers.
