Shaymin or Skarmory in M Rayquaza?

when running the mega rayquaza colorless deck is it smarter to pick shaymin or skarmory?

for those who dont know. shaymin when played can draw your hand up to six cards and for a double colorless can return himself to you hand for 30 damage and all cards attached to him.. basically a free attack get your energy back and put him down to get another 6. problem is as an ex pokemon he has very little health and can be OHKO easily for two prizes. especially with new ex pokemon like mega latios who can hit the bench for a lot of damage.

on the other hand skarmory for 1 energy can grab 2 basic pokemon. 1 energy brings in 2 rayquaza ex. also when mixed with the new stadium that allows 8 pokemon you can fill it up with just 1 pokemon. he has 10 less hp than shaymin but is only worth 1 prize. obviously only getting 2 basic pokemon is a sure thing but drawing to six has chances to be much greater.

so which would you choose? 2 very different abilities.. but two pokemon that can support this deck very well. maybe run both?

Shaymin without hesitation. You want to be attacking with Rayquaza-EX on your first turn, not Skarmory! If you're worried about Latios, just get a Mr Mime. If someone Lysandres out Shaymin-EX (except to take the last two prizes, which you should be ahead before that happens), be thankful that they didn't take the opportunity to take out your dangerous attack, M-Rayquaza-EX.

This is a no brainer. Shaymin without a doubt. The entire point of Mega Rayquaza varients is to get the T1 Mega Ray, and that's impossible with Skarmory.
