Of course if Venomoth had used Disturbance Dive during it's last turn. Sonic Blade could not have worked in the first place. Just in case your wondering why Venomoth is discussed as a good Gallade counter.
For what it's worth, the two important words from a Pokemon rules sense are "up to". As has been indicated in the thread "up to" does not include 0. This has been set in a number of rulings precedence. The other key words are "if you do". This links the effects of the second sentence with...
Mewstor's comments are right, here. If you review the Rules Compendium or have taken the Professor exam you will see that when it comes to performing acts on cards which are not public knowledge you can fail to perform those acts. HM says up to 3 Pokemon, you can satisfy the card by taking 1...
Wow, this is one of the more interesting arguments I have seen in a long while and although it's not a poll question, and I will eagerly await a Rules Team ruling. I again have to side with CK here. Spike Armour places and effect on Sandslash and it is this effect (not an attack) that places...
I read the orignal post with great dismay. I can't help but think of my son who is 6 having this happen to him. It's downright scary that pointing a gun (toy or not it's as others have stated just a matter of degrees) at a 6 year old for the purpose of robbery is something that can be...
As a redirect on my earlier comment. In a thread posted in questions back in November (sorry I've tried to figure out how to quote it, but if you search on Holon Fossil in this forum you'll see it).
The answer agreed to was Holon Excavator could not search for Holon Fossil. If that is the...
Holon Fossil, is interesting, although I remember reading somewhere in this thread a while back that Fossil Excavator could not search for Holon Fossil. If that's the case then wouldn't one expect the same ruling to hold for Relicanth?
Trying to get this one straight, if I have Sceptile GE in play and retreat a grass Pokemon with a two retreat cost, can I get away with discarding only 1 [G] energy card. Its 2 [G] energy when attached, but only 1 when its in my discard pile.
My money's on only 1 card needs to be discarded...
Since the energy question has already been answered, I can only encourage you to post whatever questions you might have on the site, you will for the most part get great assistance with the game. I've got two sons 6 and 9 playing now along with my wife and myself.
If I can suggest -- find a...
Reading another thread in this Forum got me to thinking about a game I had with my son last weekend when he attached a multi energy to flygon SW and tried to do the extra 20 for Sandsonic
"If you attach a (F) Energy card from your hand to Flygon during your turn, this attack does 60 damage...
On the second question about something fast enough to deal with Absol. Try Sableye CG with Disable, you take out Baleful Wind and do 10 damage to boot. Riolu / Lucario isn't a bad choice either with Absol's fight weakness. I've seen both cards have a better than 50% chance of containing Absol.
Masters Absol / Krow -- 1st Tyranitar Rogue -- 2nd 2 Blissey Variants rounded out the top 4. (I should have played my Krow deck!!)
In the Juniors -- Mario 1st / Empoleon 2nd
Sorry no input on the Seniors
Is Charizard's Fury Blaze self referencing or would it apply in the case where you had say Charizard PK as the Active and Charizard SW on the bench.
Thx
Ariados (MT) -- Poke Body adds 1 to an Active Pokemon's Retreat Cost. If the Pokemon has no retreat cost, does this mean its retreat cost remains zero (ie. like additions have no impact on zero damage attacks).
I checked the Compedium (quoted below) and the example given seems to indicate...
