New? No one said new. Standard format cards? Yes. Scalpers wouldn’t waste their time or money on special art cards that are not the standard format… and neither would you.
When you have a format in league that requires you to always have the latest and greatest cards as soon as possible, these shortages are gonna continue to happen. Scalpers will take advantage of this set up and you will always pay higher. I’m glad I play only in PTCGL.

Unrelated, but they need to make a Pokémon generation where it is nothing but Pokémon ideas from players. Imagine having Pokémon that you’ve created in the actual games. That would be the coolest thing ever.
Unfortunately, I only help with leagues at times. I don’t run them anymore. I tried bringing up ideas before about having a lot more variety, but I was shot down. They only want to run weekly standard events.

That seems to me an issue with the way the competitive scene is organized. The best players should automatically be able to make it, regardless of their financial situation. Not to mention, if you wanna stay in the Standard format, you have to constantly buy new cards and decks.

Limiting regions makes it no longer the top players by definition. It should always be the top players, regardless of where they’re from. For example, if there are many more skilled players from Japan than other regions, then they should have more. I don’t like this change.
