I'm just gonna put my two cents here. Justifying LGSes for pulling a stunt like this is baffling and is making excuses for theft, breach of contract, and possibly more depending on the back end of things. However, this does not mean all LGSes are awful and the concept as a whole should be panned...
I think people are severely overestimating Wo-Chien. Manaphy kills any potential it has considering you can't use Devouring Ivy until you Boss that Manaphy up. Even then, considering your opponent has to be at 2 prizes remaining for you to deal 240, a number that can actually knock big...
You actually bring up a very good point. Zapdos V is being looked at as the primary tech against the upcoming storm of Miraidon decks, but if Miraidon gets Spiritomb on the bench, it removes that threat. Spiritomb is shaping up to be very good in some popular decks.
I could see Mew potentially adapting around it, and even use it to its advantage by making the Drapion useless in some decks with the attack cost reduction being negated. It's a double edged sword, but I think Mew is gonna be the only deck worried about this card anyway, so it's a win imo.
Unpopular opinion maybe, but the glitches and bugs make the game more enjoyable to me as it's just hilariously unfinished. It's gonna get patched, we all know it, but my god there's some funny jank in these games. It's just the Skyrim of Pokemon.
GameStop as a whole is currently having severe system issues. It could have something to do with that as its been affecting their inventory control, but that's just my guess based on my info from friends who still work there after I left. Hell, some stores I've stopped at can't even check in...
We just got them in at our store along with a bunch of singles, ETBs, and the new 3-pack blisters. Haven't gotten any prerelease kits yet, unfortunately.
