    Mine was in Emerald when I was taking on the battle tower. It was a 3 on 3 match. My team was Swampert, Azumarill and Spinda It was down to my Azumarill and the opponents Haunter. The Haunter used hypnosis. Then he used confuse ray. Followed by shadow ball.... Things were not looking good...

    RE: Your very first shiny! My first shiny was a blue psyduck I caught in emerald in the safari zone. I didn't know what a shiny was back then but I still caught it. Unfortunately, since I didn't know how rare it was I traded it for a level 100 Blaziken. If I knew I would've NEVER traded it.
