I didn’t even realize Target carried TCG cards anymore. None of the stores I’ve been to in CO, CA, NM, TX, and OK have had any on their shelves in a couple years. Didn’t realize some stores still had them.
Especially not with the glitter, which I hate. IMO they somehow managed to make rainbow art cards even more unappealing by adding tacky glitter all over them.
I hope they do away with that at some point.
The rage towards scalpers isn’t misguided. Scalpers suck, period. Doesn’t matter if it’s for cards, electronics, masks, etc. The problem is people are assuming that PSA is doing this to stop scalping. They’re not; they’re doing it because they’re overwhelmed. It will luckily have a negative...
Except for the birds and Blaziken, the rest is pretty underwhelming, visually speaking... Not enough for me to buy this set (haven't bought anything since Tag All Stars). Do we really need *more* SR gold energies? How are these different from the ones in S/M?
I actually think this art is kind of cute.
Isn't it every 2 years? At least the shiny sets. Seems that they're releasing them a year after the new generation starts. Unless you count Tag All Stars, which was a special set but not a shiny one.
I agree with AshCo. Too many rarities. I miss the XY days of just having full arts with a few secret rares. I also think the full art texture quality on English cards was better back then (I think it has gone downhill; Japanese cards are still good). I miss sets like Ancient Origins and Primal...
Leaving cards out has pretty much been the standard in Pokemon TCG for a long while now, just like how Moltres EX never got a full art, while Articuno got many. I wouldn't be surprised if they left the others out.
