We're missing some of the mega evolutions. I really doubt they only introduce a few and then go back to making older cards. Especially with Diancie being revealed and Volcanion and Hoopa coming. With that being said, I do expect them to introduce Primal Groudon and Kyogre into the card game...

I don't think it has anything to do with the card game. Mainly because there are so many mega evolutions that still need to be revealed and it seems like they use at least one in the set name/art. However, if Emerald does get a remake (which I believe to be extremely likely) I could see a set...

I second this, especially with Ruby and Sapphire getting remakes. The only thing is that they say his lair is a desert. I'm not sure how that could translate to an island but who knows.
