Jamming Tower Revealed from “Mask of Change!”

i think its pretty important to understand that tools are the mostp powerful they've been in nearly 10 years. arven providing easy accessibility, on top of the increased tool power level, has led to tools becoming increasily necessary to pull up game-winning combos. at euic, 12 of the top 16...

Brute Bonnet, Iron Bundle from “Mask of Change”

all you really need to implement iron valiant is enough switching cards. we saw this with last tormat, as iron valiant decks basically took the entei v rogue deck and implemented itself into it seemlessly to become a viable deck. we're not using iron valiant to attack, mainly to use its damage...

Brute Bonnet, Iron Bundle from “Mask of Change”

i feel like the way to go is to pair brute bonnet with iron valiant ex, no? there was a rogue deck pairing crabominable v with iron valiant ex to get OHKO's on everything last format

“Temporal Forces” Has Hardest Pull Rates of Scarlet & Violet Sets for Highest Rarities

will harder pull rates even increase the price values that much? i feel like this will only significantly increase the price of highly sought-after cards that only appear once every few sets (i.e. iono illustration rare, lugia v alternate art). for the rest of the rare, but not valuable cards...

    Morpeko from “Crimson Haze!”

i think this card is good card design, but unfortunately it's definitely not competitively viable. even if you're playing a very slow deck, there's just too many fast methods of acceleration and drawing that outclass this morpeko. i love the art, though

    Magcargo ex from “Crimson Haze”

oh yeah fs, this is looking like it'll be a funny meme deck at least. if you don't get the damage boost, hitting for 140 damage still isn't the WORST thing in the world. it is kind of odd that we're going back to a mono tera type. i guess the idea is that mono tera type cards hit harder...

    Magcargo ex from “Crimson Haze”

magma basin is a fine stadium, but you can only use its effect to accelerate one energy per turn (unlike flaaffy or dark patch). it also very easily gets bumped by lost vacuum, other stadiums, etc. charizard ex only provides a one-time acceleration of energy, and not a consistent energy engine...

    Magcargo ex from “Crimson Haze”

the fact that you're forced on using your supporter for turn on what essentially is a damage booster, that you can only use on the end of your turn before you attack. not being able to use boss's orders or iono during your turn, because you had to use a different supporter to hit more damage...

“Pokemon TCG Pocket” Immersive Collecting App Coming in 2024!

i was mad confused when this first got announced an hour ago but looking at it now, it makes more sense with pokemon go and pokemon masters ex being fairly complete mobile projects, the next generation of pokemon mobile games has been going on (starting with pokemon sleep) this honestly...

Infernape Line, Pinsir, and New Illustration Rares Revealed from “Crimson Haze!”

i feel like this perspective defeats the purpose of conversations around game balance to begin with? anything can be broken in a vacuum, especially something that SEEMS super powerful like rain dance. however, the reality is that mechanics are only as good as the support surrounding it. that's...

Worlds 2026 To Be Held in San Francisco!

san francisco is fine i'm still really not a fan of next worlds being in hawaii, given how tourism has historically debilitated local and indigenous communities in hawaii, but it is what it is
