I started playing pokemon since Im 12 and im 15 Now , so i have some knowledge of how to react about the expanding metagame . One Time i used a Spinda in a 2012 VGC tourney Here on Philippines . My friend told me that i am nuts for bringing a terrible pokemon at a tourney , he was wrong .My Record was 6-1 So Thats Fairly Nice Since Im Using an NU poke.
Knockout Tournament
Format : VGC
Round 1 vs Viktor
His Team consists of Politoed , ludicolo , kingdra , jellicent , thundurus , conkeldurr .
He Led With His conk and Poli with ludicolo and thundy at the back . While i used cress , conk , hydreigon and a scarfed spinda with contrary and Superpower . I managed to beat him easily , outplaying him for the whole match .

Round 2 vs RM
His Team Was a gimmick team with scarf jellicent , cresselia , amoonguss , heatran , tyranitar , druddigon .
He Led with Cresselia and Amoonguss with druddigon and tyranitar at the back . While i lead with my own amoonguss and Hydreigon with cress and Conk at the back . It was a tough fight and he was outplaying me when suddenly my conk froze his amoonguss who used rage powder and i got struck with effect spore burning me and activating guts .
And from there i swept his team

Round 7 vs Charles .
His Team Has Gastrodon , amoonguss , camerupt , jellicent , cresselia , togekiss
He led with his amoonguss and jellicent with camerupt and togekiss at the back . While i used
Conk , hydreigon , with spinda and amoonguss at the back .
Turn 1 he used rage powder with his amoonguss . My hydreigon connects the Dragon Gem Draco Meteor which puts his amoonguss at 30% activating its sitrus berry . While i switched conk for spinda . To my surprise , he used a water Gem Water Spout KOing My Spinda and halving Hydreigon's HP . Lets Skip This .
At This point i remember having my amoonguss and conkeldurr vs his camerupt and togekiss . His Togekiss used follow me while i used ice Punch . While i didnt Pull off anything with amoonguss since its the slowest mon on the field .
Camerupt used Fire Gem Boosted Eruption to seal the Game .
So that was my VGC 12 mini tourney experience
