Serpente actually comes from the verb serpenter, meaning moving in/following a winding path. Winding-Water would be a more accurate translation. The verb does come from serpent, but isn't exclusive to snakes.

I've been thinking about building a similar combo for testing. Have you considered Arven ? I think it can be useful to have a card that can get specific things from the deck on top of draw supporters like Research and Iono.

I do not think pull rates will be as atrocious as the rest of SV. Hidden Fates were better than the 8 first sets of SwSh, before they introduced radiants and TG. I do believe they'll still be mid though. Btw, there's no booster box for this set
