Too slow for the current meta. Three water energies aren't exactly quick to stack up, especially on a stage 1 where Max Elixir wouldn't work. Sure, you could simply use it BEFORE evolving, but holding off on evolutions can have it's own reprocussions when it comes to speed.
However, with Grass...
I think Bewear's GX move could be very disruptive, and preventing retreats can be very useful with so many EXs like Shaymin, Hoopa, and Dragonite, but the 3 and 4 energy costs are mediocre... I think it has potential though honestly, not on its own but maybe a 1-1 in a deck with DCEs and no...
I don't see this being very dangerous with that high of an energy cost, especially considering anything with over 200 HP (which is almost everything right now) will take two turns to kill, and even then with an evolution heavy meta (possibly) coming it won't kill in two turns anyways.
I think this card will be OKAY at best for current standard, although in the future during the GX meta I can see it being more effective thanks to the evolution GXs. If a Sycamore comes back at some point then uncautious opponents might discard a few mon here and there, plus one or two KOs...
Unfortunately though, "about to" probably means in two years, once things like M Mewtwo are out of rotation. Unless Choice Band really makes a VERY significant impact.
Too bad it doesn't seem like it'll have much relevance for now in standard, except maybe some Volcanion decks (although even then Hoopa is a better choice)
Alright, so I've compiled a list of "relevant " things that this card will hurt:
1. Greninja
2. Zoroark (occasionally)
3. ...?
This Giratina is going to break (ha) those decks in half... As well as my heart. But yeah, there goes the meta.
But nah, for real this card is atrocious.
This card will probably just end up in the trash (or a picture frame) BUT I can see this finding use in some dark decks. Throw one into a deck and next time you see a deck struggling with draw you can play Absol and make sure they stay that way, and if you have energy to spare you can take out...
