Why is it a "Holiday Calendar" as opposed to an "Advent Calendar". I get that companies like to avoid "religious" terms but does this mean that it will still go up to Christmas or will they extend it all the way to New Years, and not just Christmas?

At least there are Mew counters. The main reason it sees so much play is that people have pushed it so much. I guess Pokémon and the rest of the players are fine with throwing away the season and starting new next time. Strange they're fine with just ditching their newer player base to tap into...

I'd say 50/50 it actually happens. And of course it'll be hard to qualify with almost no events but it'll hopefully set up for next season being a normal season.

I imagine this will make a cool addition to the Charizard VSTAR deck and also has good acceleration with the fire stadium. Also interesting how it rotates after Suicune which is cool because the attacks that depend an both players generally lead to interesting formats.
