McDonald’s Japan to Distribute Pokemon Cards in Happy Meals!

For the first time in a decade, McDonald's Japan will be distributing promo cards in its Happy Meals!
From August 9th to 11th, customers can get a new Pikachu promo plus one of five promo cards at random: Sprigatito, Fuecoco, Quaxly, Ralts, and Riolu. All of the promos are reprints from recent sets, but only Pikachu features brand new artwork. Each card is stamped with the McDonald's logo.

yea half these new "collectors" (not trying to hate towards genuine enjoyers of the hobby) are just plainly destroying the hobby its not even funny anymore

The kanji behind 10 is day, behind 11 is month. So it runs until November 10th

Also the kanjis for sunday and monday, so definitely the promo cards are available just for 3 days.

Yeah the first kanji behind 9 is Saturday so it really lasts from Aug 9 to 11. Only 3 days and only Pikachu has new artwork, it's going to be scalped like crazy and be super expensive. I can't even begin to imagine the hell scene at Japanese McDonalds during those 3 days.

I agree. They don't care about the cards. It's all about reselling and gaining profits for them. The card game, I feel, has lost its genuine meaning for the most part. I buy packs here and there, but not nearly as much as I used to. It's really hard to find packs anywhere because people keep hogging them all.

I love these! I think the Mcdonald's cards in other countries look a lot better than the cards that we get here in the states. I'm going to be chasing the Pikachu promo and the Sprigatito. I'm pretty sure that I'm gonna be fighting the scalpers though. :/
