Hoping that the IRs in this set are cheap because of the quantity of them and maybe even a higher chance of pulling them in packs
And get another Charizard, Pikachu or Mewtwo? I rather have any other Generation.

This is going to be the new most expensive master set because its so hard to get everything
Hilda and N are going to be the most expensive.
We didn't know, but they did. They didn't predict a massive boom after surging sparks and they weren't just gonna stop and take back everything they had planned for the set. Art commissions take months to complete and that includes the bulk art, full arts, irs and sirs. And especially considering the fact that many arts are from the same artist they most likely started doing illustration rares even before the set got registered, so blaming them and being mad at them for releasing this now during the hype is pointless
Let's forget any of the hype, even though they look extra clownish releasing a set like this right now.
TPC knowing this set was going to have 170 chase cards and 800 cards to master and then barely changing the pull rates is inexcusable no matter when this set would have released. I don't know why this is such a hot take to everyone.
And then oh yeah TPCi and the English side are even more of a burning dumpster fire. But we are putting that part aside. It's still bad.
maybe the strat is to just buy as much as possible a short time after initial release because prices will def go up quickly and not comedown
I might be missing something, but where did you get the pull rates from? If anything, what we have seen been pulled from the factory production line the pull rates seem pretty sick. And there are illustration rare god packs too. I might end up having to eat my words but I really don't think they'd release such a massive set just for it to have the usual 1/12 pull rate
Japanese booster boxes are being opened which is how we're seeing the ARs. It looks to be 4 ARs a box, which is either the same or one more AR than a typical Japanese booster box.
Yes Japanese boxes are cheaper and have better rates. But there's just SO MUCH in this set that with the odds we've seen so far, you would need to buy 35-40 booster boxes minimum (and that's not including dupes).
And on the English side, pull rates are ALWAYS worse and there's no booster boxes for this set at all.
