In Sewaddle's art, Raichu is hiding behind rocks, and in Raichu's art, Sewaddle is hiding. It's like the same picture just from a different angle.

I love it when cards go together to form a complete picture and tell a story, like in Legendary Treasures set.

Rule Box is not a replacement for "Pokemon-V or Pokemon-GX" and the like. It's a pretty insane way to help format-proof certain cards, by the creator's choice. Some cards will say it, some won't. Depends on what they want.
Cards should specify just Vs or just GXs, but when combining them both, it's a mistake not to use the Rule Box text because it means that when the next rule box card comes into existence, the card won't be future-proofed.

Depends on the cards they want to future-proof. Not using Rule Box is also a way to future proof, take Melony. Saying Rule Box would make it useable with possibly many other future Pokemon with Rule Boxes, but by using Pokemon-V instead, Melony was future-proofed.

With so much spread in format we should be probably waiting for a Bench Barrier reveal in Eevee Heroes or the next set. Or maybe a Sky Pillar one.

Quite the opposite, it makes Melony obsolete. If Melony was to attach an Energy to a Rule Box Pokemon, then they could reprint her over and over again in future sets, even if the "flavor of powercreep" changes. Legality isn't an issue, as the designers would have to reprint her to make her legal.
Now, Expanded is a different thing, but Expanded, like all non-rotating formats, will be the collection of the most broken stuff one way or another.

Melony specifically targets Vs (specifying Vs or GXs, and not both).

Why does this line get so many cards? Most of them are bland anyway, but Araquanid seems to get a card every other set...

Cards with "connected" art (multiple PoW of the same scene, or an ongoing story/interaction between Pokémon) are always nice to see, too bad most of the cards shown so far still feel kinda bland :/

Ensuring it becomes obsolete sounds like an OK way to future-proof it lol.

the introduction of kiyotaka oshiyama seems like one of the best things to happen to pokemon tcg in years.
