Alolan Forms, New Pokemon, Island Challenges, and Z-Moves in 'Sun' and 'Moon'!

does anyone else get the feeling that we won't be getting any new mega evolutions this generation?

We have species variants for the first time since Shellos/Gastrodon! I love the idea that some Pokemon are different based on region now! Our dreams have come true! I love Ice Vulpix and Ninetales. So majestic!
And there's species variants of Oricorio! They are all gorgeous!

Minior's cores look like Lumas wearing funny glasses. At first I thought it might have been a pre-evo of both Lunatone and Solrock based on first impression, but nope.

Mudbray. Is there anymore to say? DONKEY!

Lurantis looks like a combination of Scyther, Kirlia, Lilligant and Sylveon. That being said, I love it!

And...possibly the biggest change in Pokemon's status quo. It seems that the Island Challenge may be Alola's version of Gyms. This looks very interesting. Looks like they're taking inspiration from the Orange Islands.
 
Gumshoos is legit gonna run for president. HE WILL BUILD A WALL and keep Kanto people out. Lmfao

Anyone else have this guy pop into their mind when they saw "Gumshoos"? I thought that was a neat little reference to Pheonix Wright. :p (Dick Gumshoe from Pheonix Wright: Ace Attorney)
 
What fresh hell is this? Sounds like they made Delta Species a thing and I am loving it. They picked some really weird ones to promote the concept though, I'm baffled as to how Exeggutor becomes Dragon just by being taller snd it's pretty odd to see multiple Ice type Alola forms in a tropical region.

Also, now we have some details on the gyms (or lack thereof) and the super moves. Sounds like this game is going to be vastly different from previous games.
 
Oh my God they made Delta Species a thing on the games. And apparently Trials replace gyms? Good riddance. Man, I feel like anything can happen from now on.

Ok guys now I'm hyped choo choo

EDIT: OMG guys what if Poké Rides replace friggin HMs???

The new gyms are so cool! It's like 2 battles plus a task! This game already seems so much more different than any other Pokemon game!

But I'm pretty sure that these Island Trials will be an Alola exclusive. So that when Generation 8 comes out, we'll go back to having gyms again. But I can WAIT to try this out, as well as catching my little snow fox!

That gets me thinking, since these Alola forms were ALL better than the originals, will we get more of these forms?

I love the new variations! They all look super interesting, and I'm definitely considering the Ice-type Vulpix for my team! I wonder if Exeggcute and Vulpix, more Vulpix than Exeggcute, still evolve using their respective stones? Also I've mentioned this in another thread, but we might get a Fire-type Marowak variation, due to this being written in the section along with Kiawe: "Together with his Marowak, he studies the traditional dances that have been passed down in the Alola region," and Kiawe being a Fire-type specialist and all :p

Also the new Pokémon! Actual Donald Trump! Fomantis is cute, not really sure how I feel about Lurantis' leg/pant things. I thought Minior was a pre-evo to Lunatone/Solrock, but I'm fine with it not being one (at least for now), since it's still super cute (and fashionable too)! Mudbray is also very cute! Oricorio is probably the one that interests me the most. I love the Sensu and Baile style, and the Pom-Pom style is cute too! Not really feeling the Pa'u style yet, but I'll probably warm up to that one :p

Also we now know the names of one more island! Akala Island (In Lurantis' description)! Looking at the map, I could see it being the one on the right of Mele-Mele. Also with the new Island Trial Captains, do we know the rest of the Tapu Koko'ish Pokémon typings (Fire, Grass and Water)?
 
I have wanted to see alternate forms of regular Pokemon for SO LONG and these few did not disappoint. (well, Exeggutor is... questionable) Completely in love with both the Ice Sandslash and Ninetales (bonus points for Ninetales bc I've wanted Ice/Fairy for a while now).
Pretty big fan of all the new Pokemon as well, all the dancing bird's forms are pretty cool, and Mudbray is cute. Particularly a fan of Lurantis as well.
 
At first glance I thought that was an exeggutor mega and honestly that would be amazing to have that! But I have a chance of believing that no new Mega's will be in the game ;-; R.I.P. Mega whimsicott. But overall I love all the new Pokemon! Also I'm a little shocked how they didn't revile the second evoulutions to the starters but I never no Mabye another trailer will be Towmorrow? Let's hope!
 
Wow; Alolan Vulpix and Ninetales look so beautiful! Was certainly not expecting something like this when I went to bed. Alolan Sandshrew/Sandslash look sweet also.

The Oricorio forms look really interesting; I wonder how we'll be able to get them. Will they operate kind of like Burmy?

Also; Alolan Exeggutor looks ridiculous; sorry.
 
ALL this new is epic! I love the new Pokémon and new Alola Forms!
In my opinion I like the Alola forms concept more then the Megas.
I totally forgot about Cubone and Marowak, so maybe they get also an Alola Form? Would be cool though!
And the Alola Forms are all from the Kanto region, so I hope we can expect more forms from other regions aswell! Jynx would also be a nice option for an Alola form, like the Hawaii dancer Jynx Fire/Psychic, or a Ghost girl story haha. But we already have one Froslass.

Lurantis is epic and very beautiful love the design!!! And from the birds I like the Ghost version the most.

I want this game NOW!!!!

Also I still hope for Gymleaders though. :(
 
First of all, the idea of older pokemon having different types and appearance is beyond amazing. What a fantastic way to breath some fresh air into them and give them new competitive aspect. Nintales's typing and design is just magnificent. The new pokemon are interesting too, don't understand why Trump pokemon is not part dark type and why the mantis is not part bug. Are those island trials/challenges supposed to be substitutes for gyms? Because if they are, that might be the first thing I dislike about this game. Out of all worn out concepts from the previous games, gyms are the one they shouldn't have sacked.

It looks epic, but the typing...

I am really happy with all the love for Grass and Ice type. I hope it's a sign for a great buff for these underdog types.
