Each of the pre-Evolutions are reprints.

Pawmot ex - even worse to have a good attack on a stage 2. Cramorant V did the job before as a Basic. 3
Toedscruel ex - The ability is seen on Espeon VMAX, yet still not good. The attack is sensible with Tera Forretress being a thing, but running multiple Stage 1 lines means Zoroark is an advisable option, because it hurts the consistency. 3-4
Houndstone ex - Double Turbo and some cheap shot energy accel for P. No need for a Stage 2 here. It makes the deck even slower. 160 is a bad dmg tho on its own. 3-4

Much as I live all these new ex cards, kinda sad about pawmot. Earlier on in DV we had gardi ex, meowscarada ex and even slightly more niche one like magnezone, and while pawmot isn't the worst offender and not every card needs to be ultra competive. However I feel their starting to make stage 2 mediocre again, which is a shame.

(Sorry had to get that out there, hate ranting particularly about pokémon cards but wanted to get that out there, also if you disagree that's fine, it just my opinion :) )

No a more positive note. The art is IMMENSE. How 5ban went from some off the worst atrocities imaginable to these is insane and pawmot is adorable.

I think Paldean Tentacruel (because that's what it is) can be a good option for Grass decks - 280 at max damage, +30 from the belt can knock out a Gardevoir. However, decks do run Avery, which tends to counter there types of strategies.

Pawmots attack is viable but it's a stage 2 so idk how useful it could be. We got rare candy to help with that. Toadscruels ability is decent plus you can get 280 Damage in the right conditions. Houndstone could be decent as well but I don't have high hopes

You seriously say that espeon Vmax's Ability isn’t good? Look at the arceus decks from euic day 2. It is great into LZB

I see the problems with Pawmot NOW. but once we rotate out of the "V"s and with all that nice ligtning cards out now it WILL be good

Holy shit these cards look good what happened to 5ban

Anyways, hoping we get more good grass types so I can use the glory known as Wo-Chien Forretress /s

Toadcruel is definitely interesting since the attack forces you to satisfy the condition of its ability. Let's hope this will finally put a stop to sableye's annoying prize sneaks. ??
