Misty’s Request, Night City, Lapras from ‘Miracle Twins!’

Three new cards from SM11 Miracle Twins have been revealed on the official Japanese Pokemon TCG website! The set will become part of our Unified Minds set in August. Thanks goes to Arantxa T. for the translations!

Lapras – Water – HP110
Basic Pokemon

Ability: Mermaid Call
Once during your turn (before your attack), you may search your discard pile for Misty’s Request, show it to your opponent, and put it into your hand.

[W][W][C] Surf: 90 damage.

Weakness: Grass (x2)
Resistance: none
Retreat: 1

Misty’s Request – Trainer
Supporter

Search your deck for up to 3 Supporter cards, reveal them, and put them into your hand. Then, shuffle your deck.

You may play only 1 Supporter card during your turn (before your attack).

Night City – Trainer
Stadium

All Basic [D] Pokemon in play (both yours and your opponent) have no Retreat Cost.

This card stays in play when you play it. Discard this card if another Stadium card comes into play. If another card with the same name is in play, you can’t play this card.

Update: The card only works with Basic [D] Pokemon, not all [D] Pokemon.

Clearer images of Psyduck & Slowpoke-GX and Mega Sableye & Tyranitar-GX were revealed. Jirachi-GX and Weavile-GX from the GX theme decks have not been revealed yet, though.

Mega Sableye & Tyranitar-GX – Darkness – HP280
Basic Pokemon (TAG TEAM)

[D][D][D][D][C] Greed Crash: 210 damage. If your opponent’s Active Pokemon is a Pokemon-GX or Pokemon-EX and is Knocked Out by damage from this attack, take 1 more Prize card.

[D][D][D][D][C]+ Gigafall GX: 250 damage. If you have 5 additional Energy attached to this Pokemon (in addition to this attack’s cost), discard 15 cards from the top of your opponent’s deck. (You can’t use more than 1 GX attack in a game.)

When your TAG TEAM is Knocked Out, your opponent takes 3 Prize cards.

Weakness: Fighting (x2)
Resistance: Psychic (-2)
Retreat: 4

Psyduck & Slowpoke-GX – Water – HP250
Basic Pokemon (TAG TEAM)

[W][W] Tossing Splash: 40x damage. Discard any number of Supporter cards from your hand. This attack does 40 damage for each card discarded in this way.

[W][W]+ Excitement Time GX: 10+ damage. Flip a coin. If heads, this attack does 100 more damage. If you have at least 6 extra Energy attached to this Pokemon (in addition to this attack’s cost), flip 10 coins instead, and do 100 more damage for each heads.

When your TAG TEAM is Knocked Out, your opponent takes 3 Prize cards.

Weakness: Grass (x2)
Resistance: none
Retreat: 2

Also, it’s Surge to Misty for 3 hats to Morgan for the mass boost in one turn.
ONE TURN. All you have to do is have Surge, Misty, and a hat.

    • Misty's Request - Additonal to the fact that it gives free 120 for Slowduck, it also helps getting the supporters that you may need. 3-4 Geodudes
    • Lapras - Really helpful although the atk is bad in the world without Choice Band. 4 Geodudes
    • Night City - Good on Dark decks. 4-5 Geodudes

Psychic Exeggcute makes Alolan Eggs way better—you can now treasure for the basic.

Seems like we've got another "Granbull-style" attacker in Exeggutor, really interested to see how it'd work compared to how Granbull worked.

Also, I'm more curious about that new Necrozma, it has an attack revolving around a special energy and we were told there'd be one in this set.

Exeggcute/Exeggutor - 180 while discarding your entire hand? Let's Go! Energy Cost, nah. Malamar.4 Geodudes
Necrozma - 160 can do a lot, UN can now have a non-GX atkr other than Giratina. Although we don't have CB nxt format, it KOs most non-GX 3-4 Geodudes

Are we getting some sort of Psychic Special Energy???? Both cards seem to benefit from maybe a psychic energy that somehow provides 2 energy in a turn or something.

What a grim side effect of "Judgement." :/

Necrozma sounds like a nice tech in Malamar, as 160 can hit numbers on the bench setters like Dedenne-GX and Jirachi-GX.

And right after I commended Miracle Twins for Fighting Heracross and Terrakion, today we get our 12th Exeggutor and 22nd Necrozma cards from Gen 7, so I'm back to my default form of:

So once Necrozma gets printed in English, have we'll have gotten a regular card of every single Pokémon in existence from Gens 1-7?

Psychic Exeggcute is a nice addition to the Dragon Alolan Exeggutor deck and Necrozma could become a stable in Malamar decks since it knocks out most non-GX attackers and some bench sitters. Not sold on the Psychic Kanto Exeggutor since he needs three energies and fails to hit numbers in the current format. As such it becomes hard to stream them. The side effect of having to discard one's entire hand is not good either.

All individual Pokemon yeh, just missing some forms like winter and autumn sawsbuck and deerling, the other colours of Minior, and 6 of the Mega Pokemon (7 if you count Mega Sableye as he’s sharing with Tyranitar)

I wonder if Granbull players will switch to Exeggutor? I mean, hits higher numbers and better ball search (as of now), and similar playstyle.

Not at all. Kanto Exeggutor need [P][P][C] to hit for 180 damage and is therefore hard to stream unless we get a Triple Psychic Energy that provides [P][P][P] for one attachment. Part of the charm of Granbull is that he hits for a solid 160 damage for a single energy attachment. Kanto Exeggutor does n ot fit that bill. The Psychic Exeggcute on the other hand is a nice addition to the dragon type Alolan Exeggutor since he can also be searched for with Mysterious Treasure now.

I wonder if this means we'll get the remaining cards from the Misty & Brock Trainer Battle Deck in Unified Minds.
