Normalium Z Tool Card Revealed! Any Pokemon With Tackle Can Use a GX Attack! By: Water Pokémon Master Posted 2 years ago to TCG 43 comments Now tons of Pokemon cards can use a GX attack, even those from Base Set! The first Z-Crystal has come to the TCG as a Pokemon Tool that can be used by any Pokemon with the move Tackle. This will allow the Pokemon to use Dash Attack GX! Numel – Fire – HP90 Basic Pokemon [C] Tackle: 10 damage. [R][C][C][C] Flamethrower: 80 damage. Discard 1 Energy from this Pokemon. Weakness: Fire (x2) Resistance: none Retreat: 4 Camerupt – Fire – HP140 Stage 1 – Evolves from Numel [C][C] Tackle: 50 damage. [R][C][C][C] Strong Flare: 150 damage. Discard 2 Energy from this Pokemon. Weakness: Fire (x2) Resistance: none Retreat: 4 Normalium Z Tackle – Trainer Item Pokemon Tool: Attach a Pokemon Tool to 1 of your Pokemon that doesn’t already have a Pokemon Tool attached to it. If this card is attached to a Pokemon that has the attack Tackle, that Pokemon can use the GX attack on this card. (It must have the necessary Energy to use the attack.) [C][C][C][C] Dash Attack GX: 200+ damage. Flip a coin until you get tails. This attack does 40 more damage for each heads. (You can’t use more than 1 GX attack in a game.) You may play as many Item cards as you like during your turn (before your attack). The card opens so many gameplay possibilities! You can surprise your opponent out of nowhere. Let us know what you think below! I wonder if we’ll get more Z-Crystal Tools in upcoming sets? And if this means Sword and Shield will continue to use Z-Crystals? Sky Legend will release on April 25th. Thanks goes to Sean T. for the translations!
Watch Goomy do it instead. It depends. I bet there will be an official ruling put out as soon as this card is released in English, along with that one Cat Day ability. For now, it doesn’t seem like it, because Normalium Z specifies “has that attack” while Shining Celebi specifies “can use that attack.” It’s a real conundrum. And this attack, as I haven’t specified before, is really boring and mundane. Stop making these boring and mundane cards.
Watch as we get so obsessed about which cards could use this move that we'll soon compile a full list of Pokemon cards that can use tackle. Same with the other Z-crystals!
Currently, in Standard we'll have 2 fully evolved Pokemon that have the attack 'Tackle' when this comes out. Steelix from Celestial Storm, and Camerupt from Unified Minds (as can be seen above). I know attacking Steelix is kind of dead, but this could be nice in a revised version of it.
in steelix seems a very interesting tech for the deck as it sometimes has problems in dealing with some one hit KOs. and it already attacks with 3 energies, so one more or a second dce can be easily put to do that final KO
This seems extremely powerful when combined with TCE - you pop a TCE on a pokémon and this item, and as long as you had one other energy (or a way to get it on there) you have an instant 200 damage. Seems like an easy one-off, especially in decks like Zapdos where it's very easy to get that extra energy on there, and it's easy to get this item via Jirachi or Volkner - assuming there is a way to get a Tackle pokémon in there cheaply anyway (I don't think any Eevees have tackle in Standard do they?)...
I think Normalium Z will be interesting as a tech to non-gx decks with a 1 or 2 of pokemon that have Tackle, that also have energy acceleration opportunities. Side Note: The weakness on Numel and Camerupt is not fire...
There are three interesting cards right there. I'm not sure that Jessie and James will receive much play but then again I could be very wrong. In a Malamar deck it could come in handy so I'm not going to say it will not receive any play as there are multiple decks it could be run in. Victini is practically made for the Birds and I think without Victini it would be a very difficult card to incorporate into many if not all decks. I know Arceus Prism Star could help if there was no Victini but you can only play one and it has a fairly specific attack condition.
2 DCE for a garuntee of 200? No. Killing Pikarom only on a coin flip is bad. Well at least for 2 DCE. Camerupt doesn't hit numbers.
Some of them are, like ultra necrozma GX attack, snorlax GX attack, lycanroc GX from team up GX attack
He means why aren't GX attacks called or refered to as Z moves Not why are the GX attacks not named the same as their in game counterparts
Normalium Z - Tackle become relevant now. If you want to see the full list of Pokemon with Tackle, watch google' vid because a loyal viewer named @A D V G Y M sent a list of Pokemon with Tackle, or just search on your own. Shining Celebi and Memory Energy won't work because they ALLOW you to use Tackle not gaining the move Tackle. 4-5 Geodudes Numel/Camerupt - Good with Tackle. 4 Geodudes
