Normalium Z Tool Card Revealed! Any Pokemon With Tackle Can Use a GX Attack! By: Water Pokémon Master Posted 2 years ago to TCG 43 comments Now tons of Pokemon cards can use a GX attack, even those from Base Set! The first Z-Crystal has come to the TCG as a Pokemon Tool that can be used by any Pokemon with the move Tackle. This will allow the Pokemon to use Dash Attack GX! Numel – Fire – HP90 Basic Pokemon [C] Tackle: 10 damage. [R][C][C][C] Flamethrower: 80 damage. Discard 1 Energy from this Pokemon. Weakness: Fire (x2) Resistance: none Retreat: 4 Camerupt – Fire – HP140 Stage 1 – Evolves from Numel [C][C] Tackle: 50 damage. [R][C][C][C] Strong Flare: 150 damage. Discard 2 Energy from this Pokemon. Weakness: Fire (x2) Resistance: none Retreat: 4 Normalium Z Tackle – Trainer Item Pokemon Tool: Attach a Pokemon Tool to 1 of your Pokemon that doesn’t already have a Pokemon Tool attached to it. If this card is attached to a Pokemon that has the attack Tackle, that Pokemon can use the GX attack on this card. (It must have the necessary Energy to use the attack.) [C][C][C][C] Dash Attack GX: 200+ damage. Flip a coin until you get tails. This attack does 40 more damage for each heads. (You can’t use more than 1 GX attack in a game.) You may play as many Item cards as you like during your turn (before your attack). The card opens so many gameplay possibilities! You can surprise your opponent out of nowhere. Let us know what you think below! I wonder if we’ll get more Z-Crystal Tools in upcoming sets? And if this means Sword and Shield will continue to use Z-Crystals? Sky Legend will release on April 25th. Thanks goes to Sean T. for the translations!
Z Stones mechanic finally present! Now we’re totally on gen 7! Please don’t make de Z-Pose an obligation to use this!
That's actually a great way to balance it. You want to use a GX attack without giving up two prizes you need to Z-Pose
If only this idea, of putting a GX attack on a tool card isn't coming out at the end of the very generation it is based on. Oh well, another Gimmick that might offer some interesting takes in the game for a couple of sets, but will ultimately fall by the wayside. See: Ace Spec, Ancient Traits, Pokemon BREAK, Dual Types (and for one set only!), Prism Star and many more.
It's been 2 year since the first Sun Moon tcg set, they're introducing z-crystals (main gen 7 feature) a few months before 8 gen 1st set.
And the Meta is now searching for all those commons in the bulk bin with a Tackle attack.... Alolan Geodude? Nah. Rowlet? ... Seems better for cards prior to Sun & Moon, thus Expanded.
yup, you summed up the tcg exactly. i come back to it every other month or so see whats new, if the meta's fun/has a fun deck. play a bit then take a break. Pokémon's fun, cute and different so this helps me not get burnt out on it
But they have to fall by the wayside, imagine if we had all these mechanics still alive with new cards in current sets (a) it would be nearly impossible to balance the game (Expanded has already a pretty big ban list due to this) and (b) sets would need to have 400 cards to fit all the variety in card types/combinations.
