Gardevoir & Sylveon-GX Tag Team from SM9a ‘Night Unison!’

The first card from SM9a Night Unison has been revealed — Gardevoir & Sylveon-GX! Thanks goes to Bangiras for the translation! The card is partially obscured, so the translation is not complete.

Gardevoir & Sylveon-GX – Fairy – HP260
Basic Pokemon (TAG TEAM)

[C] Fairy Song: Search your deck for up to 2 [Y] Energy and attach them to your Benched Pokemon in any way you like. Then, shuffle your deck.

[Y][Y][C] Kaleidostorm: 150 damage. Choose any number of Energy attached to your Pokemon in play and rearrange them in any way you like.

[Y][Y][Y]+ Miracle Magical GX: 200 damage. If you have 3 extra [Y] Energy attached to this Pokemon (in addition to this attack’s Energy cost), your opponent shuffles their hand(?) into their deck. (You can’t use more than 1 GX attack in a game.)

When your TAG TEAM is Knocked Out, your opponent takes 3 Prize cards.

Weakness: Metal (x2)
Resistance: Darkness (-20)
Retreat: 2?

As posted a while ago, Night Unison is a mini-set that will release in Japan on January 11th and feature 55 cards. It’ll include Zoroark & Greninja-GX, Dedenne-GX, and a new Raichu.

Spritzee, Aromatisse, Togepi, Togetic, and Togekiss will also be part of the set, as you can see to the right. Their text is too hard to read, so we can’t translate them.

It seems Mitsuhiro Arita is going to draw all of the Tag Team Pokemon! Every single one revealed so far uses his artwork.

I think because it’s 150 and not 160. The change in damage numbers is a crucial problem, since with a choice band it can’t kill stuff like buzzwole.

Have a fun time setting that up when I shuffle your hand into your deck. You have to consistently set up solgaleo and magnezons to get the damage consistent. Trust me, I played this deck, not that much consistency.

Their both named solgaleo gx, so you could only play either 3-1, 2-2 or 3-1. Sorry, but the consistency of metal is not high. If it was we would see the deck a lot more.

OK yeah. At least Gardy will rotate six months after this card is released. Expanded could be an issue though.

Hoping for a Gallade GX still. But depending on what the damage on this ones GX move is this Carr could be super broken.

Might be a dumb question, but will this be in Team Up?

This could make Tyranitar - GX playable! This is perhaps the first Tag Team GX I'm somewhat interested in playing!

Seriously though, this card is going to be beast in expanded. Dont know about standard though. It doesnt say D basic so maybe paired with either Zoroark, Tyranitar, Hoopa or Incineroar?

Greninja & Zoroark Tag Team GX + Incineroar-GX from Team Up = A very very very good deck IMO.

Good and cheap attacks, just like Mimikyu&Gengar and its weakness is just as bad, and this has no good energy acceleration in Standard (with Naganadel maybe?)...seems somewhat alluring but I'm not convinced. The illustration is pretty rad though, probably the best out of all the tag teams yet.

Darkrai Prism star + Naganadel will help you get energy out on the board and energy switch will help you move some of those energy so you can attack without the need of acceleration. We also have counter gain to allow you to attack for 1 dark energy if you are behind on prizes.
