All ‘GX Ultra Shiny’ Cards!

GX Ultra Shiny won’t release until November 2nd, but the official site has revealed all normal cards from the set!

‘GX Ultra Shiny’ Normal Cards

Most of the set is straight up reprints. Some cards are alternate type reprints with new artwork. Very few cards are brand new.

Remember, none of the reprinted cards will “reset” the card legality anymore. The current theory is that in the future, Japanese tournaments will be marking card legality by the “A” or “B” on the bottom of the cards (and eventual C, D, F, etc.). All of the reprinted cards in this set have the “A” or “B” of their original set rather than the “B” of the current set block, further proving the theory. We also believe Japan and the rest of the world will soon have synced card legalities.

New Cards

Lycanroc-GX will be in our Team Up set in February, so the rest of these might be as well. Keep checking back for translations!

Shaymin Prism Star – Grass – HP80

You can’t have more than 1 Prism Star card with the same name in your deck. If a Prism Star card would go to the discard pile, put it in the Lost Zone instead.

An alternate type version of Alolan Marowak from Forbidden Light.

Lycanroc-GX – Fighting – HP200
Stage 1 – Evolves from Rockruff

Ability: Twilight Eye
When you play this card from your hand to evolve a Pokemon during your turn, you may discard an Energy from your opponent’s Active Pokemon.

[F][C][C] Accelerock: 120 damage.

[F] Radial Edge GX: 30x damage. This attack does 30 damage times the number of Energy cards in your opponent’s discard pile. (You can’t use more than 1 GX attack in a game.)

When your Pokemon-GX is Knocked Out, your opponent takes 2 Prize cards.

Weakness: Grass (x2)
Resistance: none
Retreat: 2

Cosmog – Psychic – HP60
Basic Pokemon

Ability: Cosmo Guard
As long as this Pokemon is on your Bench, prevent all damage done to this Pokemon by attacks.

[C] Mumble: 10 damage.

Weakness: Psychic (x2)
Resistance: none
Retreat: 1

Cosmoem – Psychic – HP100
Stage 1 – Evolves from Cosmog

Water Memory – Trainer
Item

Pokemon Tool: Attach a Pokemon Tool to 1 of your Pokemon that doesn’t already have a Pokemon Tool attached to it.

The Silvally-GX this card is attached to is a [W] Pokemon.

You may play as many Item cards as you like during your turn (before your attack).

Grass Memory – Trainer
Item

Pokemon Tool: Attach a Pokemon Tool to 1 of your Pokemon that doesn’t already have a Pokemon Tool attached to it.

The Silvally-GX this card is attached to is a [G] Pokemon.

You may play as many Item cards as you like during your turn (before your attack).

Fairy Charm UB – Trainer
Item

Pokemon Tool: Attach a Pokemon Tool to 1 of your Pokemon that doesn’t already have a Pokemon Tool attached to it.

The Pokemon this card is attached to doesn’t take damage from the attacks of your opponent’s Ultra Beasts that are Pokemon-GX or Pokemon-EX. (Why it covers EX Ultra Beasts is unknown.)

You may play as many Item cards as you like during your turn (before your attack).

Ingo & Emmet – Trainer
Supporter

Look at the top card of your deck, then put it back. Choose 1:

– Discard your hand and draw 5 cards from the top of your deck.

– Discard your hand and draw 5 cards from the bottom of your deck.

You may play only 1 Supporter card during your turn (before your attack).

Morgan – Trainer
Supporter

This card can’t be played unless you discard Dana, Evelyn, and Nita from your hand.

Look at the top 12 cards of your deck. Attach as many Energy cards you find there to your Pokemon in any way you like. Then, shuffle the remaining cards into your deck.

You may play only 1 Supporter card during your turn (before your attack).

Dana – Trainer
Supporter

This card can’t be played unless your opponent’s Active Pokemon is a Stage 2 Pokemon.

Search your deck for 2 cards and put them into your hand.

You may play only 1 Supporter card during your turn (before your attack).

Evelyn – Trainer
Supporter

This card can’t be played unless your opponent’s Active Pokemon is a Stage 1 Pokemon.

Draw 4 cards.

You may play only 1 Supporter card during your turn (before your attack).

Nita – Trainer
Supporter

This card can’t be played unless your opponent’s Active Pokemon is a Basic Pokemon.

Choose an Energy attached to your opponent’s Active Pokemon. Your opponent puts it on top of their deck.

You may play only 1 Supporter card during your turn (before your attack).

Wonder Labyrinth Prism Star – Trainer
Stadium

You can’t have more than 1 Prism Star card with the same name in your deck. If a Prism Star card would go to the discard pile, put it in the Lost Zone instead.

Each player’s Pokemon (excluding [Y] Pokemon) pays [C] more to use its attacks.

As long as this Stadium is in play, whenever a player uses an Item or Supporter card from their hand, prevent all effects of those cards done to this Stadium.

This card stays in play when you play it. Discard this card if another Stadium card comes into play. If another card with the same name is in play, you can’t play this card.

‘GX Ultra Shiny’ Secret Rares

The set will have at least 90 secret rares, the largest for any English or Japanese set in history. Only a few of them have been revealed so far. The rest will be revealed next week. We’re not yet sure how these cards will be released in America.

Update: Shiny versions of Rowlet from Sun and Moon, Dartrix from Sun and Moon, and Decidueye-GX from Sun and Moon Black Star Promos have been revealed! The pre-evolutions will even have the secret rare GX card texture!

Update #2: The set’s reverse holos will look like this Eevee. As posted before, each 10 card booster pack will come with a Pokemon-GX.

Update #3: Those who purchase two booster boxes of the set from stores that hold Gym tournaments will receive a case for storing playmats.

    • Shaymin * - This could an instant non-GX atkr in some Grass decks. 4 Geodudes
    • Lycanroc-GX - We have an alt option to destroy decks (I dunno what I am saying to this fella) 4 Geodudes
    • Alt Types
    1. Alolan Marowak - Searchable with MT, that's the bonus and the free atk can be sometimes good if Malamar can't fuel energy in early turns. 3-4 Geodudes
    2. Mimikyu - Mimikyu was a decent addition in some decks especially Shining Lugia, this will be decent in Gardevoir decks. 3 Geodudes
    3. Alolan Exeggutor - Exeggutor was proven good based on some tournament sucess, N typing could be suspicious especially you are capped to 120-150. Yes, Altaria can.. But you must dedicate spaces to Zoroark, Baby Shuckle #HeyNick, and Lele. But the option is still open. 4 Geodudes
    4. Alolan Ninetales - Ability lock becomes more complicated to spam with today. Abilities like Ninetales that blocks abilities could be a decent option. 3-4 Geodudes
    • Nebby/Cosmoem - finally a new Cosmoem which makes the Solgaleo/Lunala not complete unplayable due to lack of Stage 1 and reliant on Rare Candy. The same thing happen to Dark Crobat when Dark Golbat rotates and before Pokémon Breeder reprinted. 3/3
    • Fairy Charm UB - *Buzzwole Frightened* 3 Geodudes
    • Water/Grass Memory - are we expecting a Silvally-GX reprint from ULP or not because Forest Silvally will stay for another year after rotation. Anyways, Water and Grass and not relevant weakness to hit but it gets benefits from it. 4 Geodudes
    • Ingo and Emmet - I haven't battle these in my Gen 5 playthrough except the Rosa team up battle, I am busy on PWT and beating the champ (BW). Anyways, play this card for the first effect. What's the point of drawing cards from the bottom if you sneak the top card in the first place. With Oranguru/Magcargo dominate the setup status, this could help decks a lot. 4-5 Geodudes
    • Morgan - too risky but rewardful payout. 4 Geodudes
    • Dana - Only few stage 2s saw play and will see play when LOT came out like Jumpluff, Gardevoir, and Sceptile. Searching 2 cards is nuts, if you faced these top Stage 2s. 3 Geodudes
    • Nita - People can still top deck it and reattach it to the targeted Pokemon. Basics are common to be in the active spot, but I see this use on Turn 1 or in the early game. 3 Geodudes.
    • Evelyn - Evelyn is ma girl. But why TPCi did to her? Draw flat 4 cards? That's even 4/3 of Hau. Oh boy! 3 Geodudes
    • Number of non-SR cards to be imported inTeam Up -...

    A. Marowak and A. Exeggutor actually have a bit of synergy now because both are searchable with M. Treasure. You can hit for psychic weakness and play a split of 3-1 or 2-2 grass and dragon Exeggutor to hit for grass weakness as well. Not bad against Buzzwole/Lycanrock but mostly bad against everything else. The new illustration for their cards are very nice though.

And lol, this is like, what, the 3rd print of Naganadel-GX and the card still sucks.

*STILL crossing fingers for a Shiny Dunsparce*

I'm kind of disappointed that the Shinies don't have "Shining" in their names despite former Shinies from this era having it, but oh well!

Guzzlord-Morgan deck anyone? It'll never be amazing but it would be a lot of fun to play right.
