Michael Pramawat and Stéphane Ivanoff Join PokeBeach’s Writing Roster!

We’re excited to announce our new lineup of writers for the 2018-2019 season!

Our first new addition is Michael Pramawat. His list of accomplishments is longer than anyone who’s ever played the Pokemon TCG. It includes winning seven NA Regional Championships, winning the first International Championship, placing second at Worlds, placing second at U.S. Nationals, and numerous other achievements spanning over a decade. We’re excited to read what one of the best players in the history of the Pokemon TCG has to say about the game!

“I’m excited to see PokeBeach’s readers find success with my ideas. I’ve regularly visited PokeBeach since 2004. It has always been an invaluable resource for me, so I hope my articles can be that for you!”

Our second new writer joining the program is Stéphane Ivanoff. Coming off his first place win at this year’s NA International Championships, Stéphane is a longtime accomplished player from France. He has qualified for Worlds every year for the past seven years, won the Valencia Special Event, won the French National Championships in 2012 and 2014, and has gotten top 8 at multiple Regionals and Special Events this year. As one of the biggest emerging threats in Europe, Stéphane is sure to provide unique insight with his articles!

“It’s an honor for me to join PokeBeach’s elite roster of writers, especially since the website has been a major resource for me the eight years I’ve been playing! As your token European, I will bring you a different perspective on the metagame. I hope you will enjoy reading my articles as much as I enjoy writing them!”

You can expect to read Michael and Stéphane’s first articles in September.

While not new writers, we’re also excited to announce that Caleb Gedemer and Zakary Krekeler will be writing exclusively for PokeBeach, and will be writing for the website more frequently than before. Expect more awesome content from both of them this coming season!

Caleb ranked fourth in North America during the 2017-2018 season, won the 2018 Columbia Special Event, and placed in the top 8 of eight Regional Championships (three of which were last year).

Zak recently came in second at the EU International Championships and is ranked eighteenth in the North America. He’s qualified for Worlds seven times, among various other achievements over the years.

But our lineup doesn’t stop there! The following players will round out our accomplished writing team:

  • Andrew Mahone
  • Conner LaVelle
  • Eric Gansman
  • Grant Manley
  • John Kettler
  • Rukan Shao
  • Zachary Lesage
