Hello, and welcome to my profile! My name is DNA, and I am one of the most well-known people on the entirety of PokeBeach. I hold a few interesting achievements, such as having the most profile comments on Pokebeach (1000 pages' worth and climbing), the largest bio in all of Pokebeach (seriously, pull up a chair), and a few other small things, such as being the highest-ranked non-staff member on Pokebeach. Here's how I've climbed up the chain of command so far:

About Me:
Before I go too far, let me give you a little blurb about myself and what I do. If you want to skip over that section, that’s fine – just be warned there’s a lot of stuff in this bio.
I am currently 22 years of age (beer tastes terrible; don't try it), thus making me older than most scrubs on this site (but not all of them). I have what I call an 'ego on a leash' - I have a somewhat-high opinion of myself, but I don't always parade it and I try to keep my elitism in check. I'm an Eagle Scout, which is one of those cool impressive things that very few people get, and I'm also a Christian, so that will give you a general idea of how my mind works, up to a point.
I tend to think of myself as a rather logical and calculating person; I don’t make snap or fickle decisions and I try not to let my emotions get in the way of my work or my decision-making process; thus, I try to be as impartial of a person I can in all things. I can be a troll at times, just for some laughs, but I always take what I do, be it work or relaxation, quite seriously. I'm also not afraid to step on some toes when expressing a point and/or if I feel like I have to, but I don't do it with the intent of bashing others; I try to present my points in a concise and logical manner. In short, you can think of me as a guy who's serious 127% of the time - the second 27% is when I'm being doubly serious and the other 73% is when I'm being serious but also messing around. A weird figure, I know, but it does make sense if you've seen me.
As far as love and romance, it definitely doesn't take a huge priority in my life, but it's a nice thing for sure. I'm currently in a relationship with another girl, and we get along positively swimmingly. (It's like she's my sibling separated at birth; we have near-identical senses of humor, which is strange, relieving, and scary all at once.) I'm not sure if she'll be "the one", but I'm willing to wait as long as necessary to find out. I have a strong suspicion she is, though, which makes me confident. We've been talking with each other just as friends since about March 2012 or so, but I don't think our relationship properly escalated until May, although we officially became an item on 27 July 2012 (I got her mother's seal of approval - no, seriously).
As far as my own personality and character go, my pros are that I'm rather amiable and friendly – I don’t mind hanging out with people usually. If you want to just talk or hang out to get along with me, it's rather rare I'll say no (although I might if I’m currently busy). Just so long as you aren't naggy (and there are few that are), then you're fine. I also am very honest with what I say, to the point of bluntness – and depending on circumstance that can be seen as a con, as I'm not ever afraid to speak the truth on my mind, regardless of the impact, but I have no apologies for it. I'm also quite cheerful and I try to let that rub off on others, as well – even if I’m feeling in a rather subpar mood, I try to put on a brave face for the benefit of those around me. I'm rather knowledgeable about many things, but I also don't speak much on things I don't know much about (because I don’t want to say something stupid or uneducated).
Now for the cons – yeah, we all have them. I'm not perfect and neither are you. One of mine is that I'm so blunt, and because of that, at times I'm not allowed to hurt some feelings or step on some toes. Also, sometimes when speaking with friends, I feel like I'm saying the wrong thing, or that whatever I say ends up awkward (it usually doesn't, but I feel it does)...this becomes more evident when I’m around women, interestingly enough (but I’ve been gradually fixing it, though!). I misread things, a lot, which sometimes can lead to rather hilarious situations. I also have this odd pleasure derived from laughing at people's failures...including my own.
Don't let my cons turn you away, though – the pros usually have a greater influence on me. Plus, they won't influence you negatively (hopefully) if you just want to be my friend.

Chat (and how to reach it):
If you ever want to find me, you can frequently find me on Pokebeach’s chatroom. I am standardly online under the name DNA or Hazama, so I’ll be relatively easy to find. (I will usually have a ! in front of my name also, so that narrows it down.)
You can chat with me about whatever; I can talk about a variety of subjects – whatever you like best. However, if you don’t or can’t come onto the chatroom, you can also send me a PM or leave me a profile comment as well if you want to chat – whatever works best for you.
Here are 3 ways that you can access the Pokebeach chatroom. There are a couple others, but below I’ve listed the ones that I have used and am familiar with. (I haven't used Xchat or Icechat before, but when I do I'll add them to this list.)
1) Go to the chat link on the Pokebeach site (pokebeach.com/chat). It uses Java and should connect you automatically, but sometimes the Java applet has problems so it might not connect you. You can retry it again in a couple minutes or try another method. The forum also has a Mibbit chat option that you can use, and it logs you in under your username; this option generally works.
2) Access the chat via Mibbit (mibbit.com). Click the link that says 'Launch App Now', and after it loads there's a box in the middle that says 'Connect'. In that box, click 'Server' and it'll open another box. Then, enter these things in the fields and it will connect you:
Server = irc.mznation.com
Nick = (whatever nickname you feel like using)
Channel = #pokebeach
There is also a Mibbit app accessible via the forums if you are logged in; simply click the Chat Room link at the top left of the page, pick a display name, and you'll be good to go.
3) Download the mIRC application (mirc.com). It has a 30-day trial period but can still be opened and run after the 30 days are over. Once you download it and get it running, go to where you can add/select a server, then add this server:
Description = MZNation
IRC Server = irc.mznation.com
(Leave the other fields as is.)
Hit Add, then select it, and after that on the connect screen you can pick your nickname and whatever. (Changing your nick involves you typing /nick newname and hitting Enter.)

Yep, you know it and love it - the DNA-Dex! While in the chatroom, you can type !dex name (the name can be a species of Pokemon, or even a certain person), and if I'm online, you will see a Pokedex entry for that Pokemon or person (written by me). All 649 species of Pokemon (plus Missingno.) are present, as well as the following list of people:

Favorite Pokémon:
This seems a little typical for those who go on a Pokemon website, and granted, one person or another will have different likes or dislikes, but I think I should put mine here. I like virtually all Pokemon equally, but there are a few I like more than others.
From my favorite, and then descending, they are:
#1: Regigigas. Sure he looks peculiar, but I've always loved the Regi series as a whole since their debut in Hoenn. And when Regigigas came along in Sinnoh, I was both happy and sad (happy because another Regi was created – the king, no less! but sad because Slow Start is a terrible). However, in the TCG, Regigigas is every bit the beast he truly deserves to be, and then some. I ran him as a deck for a year and a half and almost top-cutted in Regionals with him...a true testament to his power.
#2: Claydol. Man, he looks so cool. Eight eyes all around, perfectly symmetrical, and one of the most versatile Pokemon I've ever seen <3... I'm not sure why I like genderless Pokemon so much. Even before the Great Encounters variation in the TCG came out I've had a long-standing respect for the guy, mostly because he looks freaky.
#3: Deoxys. You might find this as an odd coincidence, seeing as my name is DNA. But that’s all it is – a coincidence. I like his ability to change forms, and I would have to say the Attack Form (battle) or the Normal Form (looks) would be my favorite out of all of them. He just takes his stats and pushes them to extremes! Beware the space virus, or, in the words of Starboard Driger, you risk it rushing up to you and screaming “IMMA VIOLATE YOU”
#4: Magnezone. This spot used to be occupied by Magneton, before Sinnoh came out - I always liked his appearance - and now he gets an upgrade that, I have found out, is a titan in competitive battle (since he resists so many things). I like him for the looks, but I like him even more because Magnezone is the form that the voice in my head has taken. (I wonder what it is with me and liking bizarre genderless Pokemon?)
#5: Metagross. One of the final Hoenn Pokemon I encountered, after I beat the champion. His looks were awesome and his phenomenal stats I found even more awesome...that Steel/Psychic combination and astronomical attack (no pun intended) are to die for. And Meteor Mash is good in itself, but unfortunately its crushing power fails to the Dmaster Smash. Or does it?
#6: Aggron. Aggron is a bit of an odd bird, and although it looks very simplistic, that simplicity contributes to its position here - it is a totally awesome metal dinosaur beast that levels mountains. Few Pokemon are quite as awesome as this Aggron here. Look at it. It's so beautiful. It will not hesitate to knock you all down in one of the most awesome and groundbreaking ways possible. Watch out, we've got a badass over here!
#7: Magneton. The lesser magnet forcibly snatched this spot away from Typhlosion - despite Typhlosion being an old near-and-dear friend, he unfortunately has not aged well. Magneton, on the other hand, has aged quite well over time. Along with Magnezone, this guy is one of my top favorites not only because of his design (a giant magnet), but because of an incredible type combination (Electric/Steel) and outstanding base stats. Woohoo!
#8: Starmie. The super-impressive purple starfish that not only has a sleek appearance, but also a wide variety of options available! Not only that, but Starmie is one of two Pokemon that I have personified and made an OC out of - the other one, a Magnezone, takes the form of the voice in my head. Starmie looks cool, feels cool, and strikes an epic pose!
#9: Registeel. The only one of the Regi trio to join its master on the top 10 list. Honestly, I love all the Regis, but Registeel here was the only other besides Gigas to make the top 10. I believe it's that not only do I have a fondness for Steel-type Pokemon, but I also like its appearance, its defenses evenly distributed, and nice color scheme. Oh, and in Diamond/Pearl it's secretly Hitler. That's a big plus.
#10: Pidgeot. As far as looks go, for bird Pokemon, Pidgeot cannot be topped. It just can't. It's a falcon that moves at twice the speed of sound, and with such majestic ferocity that you cannot help but stand in awe of it. Indeed, one of the recurring characters in my Nightmare series - and one of the most powerful ones - is a black-and-gold Pidgeot by the name of Infinity. Truly, Pidgeot is a glorious bird.
Top 100: Now, these guys are Pokemon that I don't quite like enough to be put on the top 10 list, but at the same time, I like them significantly more than most other Pokemon out there, probably because of some feature or quality. (Wait...duh...that's why people like specific Pokemon.) Here they all are, listed below, up to #100:
11-20: Bronzong, Ferrothorn, Regice, Regirock, Cofagrigus, Klinklang, Diglett, Weedle, Nidoking, Dusknoir

Most people, when given this name, will have no idea who this guy is...well, way back when, they wouldn't. More people know him now. I actually saw him quite a lot when he first joined, and his passion for fanfiction is actually quite amazing. He's become more well-known since getting promoted to the fanfic mod at 'Beach, and I can say this: He does his job, and he does it WELL. Shame about the furry bit, but that's just his (infamous) quirk. (I actually used to make rather snarky comments about it, but I've since shut up and let it be.) Yeah, that guy who wants to make Neo-style TCG cards for all 649 Pokemon. A noble endeavor indeed! I've gotten to know him through that venue and have even written some spoilers for him. I'm good at writing spoilers as it's very fun to do, and helping him out has really given me a chance to get those creative juices flowing. He's an all-around awesome guy, so if you see him, wave hi!

A person I've gotten to know better over the past couple years, most notably in profile comments, YLYL, and of course Trivia of DNA. She has proven herself to be a competent trivia-master (trivia-mistress?) and, after a long and close battle, finally emerged as the winner of Trivia of DNA II. Since then we've been chatting on and off on a regular basis, and her brain never seems to run dry of humorous ideas (some of which I occasionally steal - just don't tell her that). The two of us are running Trivia of DNA III together, so watch out, guys. We've only gotten to know each other better as the months have gone by, and she seems to have new exciting stories to tell every single day.

I've found Lucky Fire to be quite interesting company and have been keeping up an ongoing conversation with her via profile comments. She acts a lot more mature than one would think...and for that I’m grateful – most of the people like her that I've met are know-it-alls from what I’ve seen, and she appears to be the exact opposite. She’s a bit naïve and not all that knowledgeable though, but that can be rectified eventually...kind of like a fine wine or cheese, that grows in quality as it ages.

A fellow Californian such as myself, separated only by what part of the state we live in - he lives in the north whereas I am in the south. We have both been waiting for the time we can square off against each other in a true match. In the MD-on era we both ran ludicrously fun decks tailor-made to our satisfaction: he ran Arceus; I ran Regigigas. (Both decks involve very powerful Basics, you'll notice.) Soon will come the time where we shall square off in the battle for the ages, but until that time we shall remain strong friends and TCG rivals. However, he does possess one major flaw: he plays Vanguard.

This guy...This guy right here, he's a real bro. I knew him before pretty well, but in TDL's The Challenge 2 I got to know him even better (as assistant leader to Team Ninja). Like me, he likes Deoxys and Regigigas a LOT, and he has an over-the-top loose cannon sense of humor. In short this guy is pretty much just plain awesome. If you haven't met him, you should - it's well worth it.

TyphloWolf's a rather interesting individual, to say the least. Typhlo has been working, on and off, on a rather expansive quote collection, consisting of both original quotes and quotes from various famous historical figures...and that's what I know Typhlo most for. That's not all this person is, though - like myself, Typhlo is a dabbler in the world of graphic arts, specifically Photoshop (I use GIMP, myself). We get along pretty well and converse back and forth, always checking up on how the other is doing. We have a nice working relationship and our bonds are waxing stronger and closer, hinting at our friendship for a long time yet. Most excellent.

Zyflair, or as I like to call him "Psyflare", is one of the most foremost authorities on Pokebeach when it comes to fanfiction, bar none. I know that most people just comment on the usual spelling and grammar mistakes. He doesn't - he goes right for the jugular and evaluates the chapter flow itself, in EXCRUCIATING detail. His approach may seem a little harsh, but he doesn't do it for the sake of tearing people down (or does he?), but rather to improve them sufficiently. And I know what being critiqued by him feels like...I know it's for the best but it's no fun.
