Pokemon Your ideal Pokémon Town?

Even though this might sound like me asking what is your favorite town, well lemme tell ya real' quick son, nope. :D Here you get to design your own dream town / city / village for Pokémon. So tell at least these things:

-name, derp xD
-history
-overall appearance
-gym?

So just conversation about that. Btw, if your town description is really big, put it in a spoiler. Feel free to move or delete. :D

But for my ideal town:
My own ideal town is called Risea Village. It is a pretty small fishing village by the sea. It's mostly made of beach villas and fishing cottages floating on the sea. Risea has two parts; the beach and the fisher's area. Behind Risea, there is a huge jungle, filled with Yanmas, Ninjasks, Surskits and Treeckos.

As for the history of the town, it's not really special. Even though there are rumors saying Jirachi had helped building the village, none have ever claimed seeing it. Jirachi might hide in it's small Wish Cave nearby Risea. The existence of the cave has never been confirmed though.

Risea Village hasn't got a gym, but it does have a small arena at the beach, where trainers can test their skills by battling others with different, special rules. Most of the residents of Risea are specialised in Water- and Grass-type Pokémon.

While Risea isn't really the town filled with really tough trainers, their fishermen are true professionals. They catch approximately about a 100 Water Pokémon during one single day. One trainer from Risea, called J, has made their way to the Hall of Fame with his Grovyle and Porygon-Z. Nowadays, he's really well known for his success in the Battle Frontier.

So that's my town, you guys tell me yours now down below. :)

Interesting.

Mine
The Nadier resort.

This area is a paradise for pokemon and people alike... on the side of a volcano. You see, when Groudon and Kyogre fought, Groudon erupted lava from his volcano. Big lave chunks, Kyogre unintentionally put water on the said lava, making it hard. They then kept fighting....

Years later, this volcano was calm, sealed away... the fight between the two legends has finally ceased. Then, on the 28th of june, a trainer named Nadie found the hardened lava. His mind then set to one thing. Just one thing. To take advantage of this heap of hardened lava and began to hollow it out! He cleaned it all up, sweeping Ash away, he eventually made approximately 13 huts. Ships would often pass by this volcano, noticing the huts, and eventually, it became a paradise.

Nadies pokemon was one singular pokemon. It was Kricketune, who now makes the tunes of the paradise, often times making a sad song, remembering it's deceased trainer. It would always make music for the town by his gravestone.

Yes, I made that all up on the spot.

My place:

Legendary Fields

Only rare and powerful pokemon can be found here such as yanma, feebas, dunsparce, growlithe, lickitung, dratini, bagon, larvesta, and many others. This is an npc-less area with no buildings. It's located high in the mountain valleys close to Mt. Silver, the fields are golden and the rivers are crystal clear.

Many rare berries can be found here and rare items too. The wild pokemon are weak (lv.10~20) but the shaking grass/ swirling dust/ water spots yield high level pokemon (like a lv.67 Arcanine can be found in shaking grass). Pokemon found here have their hidden abilities 5% of the time.

You can only visit for an hour a day, after the hour you'll be escorted out by two bisharp. The gate keeper (who's a Heatran) won't let you pass more than once a day.

Sounds a bit like dream world but it's not as boring.

This thread seems cool.

Novarum Village is located on a far-out island. The villagers have a very rural, farm-based life. The only things of note are the Tournaments and the Pokemon.
The tournament, known as The Annual Novarum Colosseum Gauntlet, is pretty much a one-of-a-kind thing. The strongest, and I do mean strongest, trainers from around the world, are invited for the challenge. The obstacle courses and tough trainers make it a test of endurance, strength, and trust for Pokemon and Trainer alike. Nobody has ever completed the whole challenge.

Likewise, the Pokemon are also pretty much one-of-a-kind. The jungles of Novarum are home to some of the most exotic Pokemon on the planet, most of which haven't even been officially classified as Pokemon yet, and even more of which haven't even been discovered! There have also been sightings of Mew, but those are just the stuff of legend...

Well, thank you! :)

And woah, boy, is it just me or are those the South American jungles the Pokemon Mansion logs were mentioning? Yeah. :D

Mine
Staelthic (stay el thic) city is a small city with a factory, a park, and a steel gym next to the factory, which mass-produce porygon. The gym features workers who use porygon, metang, and klang, and the gym leader uses a couple Pokemon, including a registeel, his partner Pokemon that he saved from an evil team. The park contains a few trainers and a move tutor who teaches steel and normal moves like metal claw and tri attack in exchange for any evolution stone. The park also contains some escaped porygon, wild beldum, and Klink. There is a statue of regigigas in the center of the park, and inside a building near the park there is a person who will trade a porygon holding an upgrade for a helioptile or a heatmor. At the outskirts of the city there is a cave that is rumored to hold a shiny metang.

Time to go invent everything on the fly. While I do so I shall take bits and pieces from past ideas I have had.

First, the location. It would be halfway up a prominent snowy peak in the region - too large to be considered just a settlement, too small to be considered a town, about the right size to be a village or hamlet. Name, I dunno. Houses would be log cabins with chimneys. Population would be only about 100 people at the most.

It would be gated on all sides, to control the flow of traffic in and out of the village, just in case of attack or a large influx of people. Channels would be dug to divert the flow of snow or water, in case of an avalanche or flood. Temperature would be cold, but not too cold - a range between 0 and 50F (winter - summer) would be ideal.

If there were a gym, it wouldn't be in the village - it'd be farther up the climb, off the beaten path, as a means to test a trainer's endurance before they even got there.

It was originally built as a settlement on the way to the summit, because there's some shrine of some sort at the peak. Small village up there too, but we're the stopover point.

As for Pokemon, they're freely allowed to roam about in the streets - it's even encouraged, just so long as everyone plays nice.

...I kinda want to make this now.

Here's my best shot at a decent town.

Cedarwood Town - The Town of Cedarwood is a small wood-cutting town with a population of only a few hundred. It is a fairly new town built in the Sinnoh region. Most residents live in wooden cabins, but the wealthier folks usually live in mansions. Cedarwood is known for it's amazing wood production. It is surrounded by an unnamed forest. The only way to reach Cedarwood is by foot or air. The forrest surrounding Cedarwood is very dangerous. Here's a list of the known Pokemon that live there. Nincada line, Gastly line, Weedle line, Venipede line, Deerling line, Pidgey line, Starly line, Fletchling, Teddiursa line, Misdreavus line, Caterpie line, Poochyena line, Seedot line and the Bonsly line.

Wow, this is a fun thread. Okay mine

Snowpporo Town ~ Mixture of the word Snow and a city Sapporo in Japan

So, it's a rather new town, it was rather deserted for years. This was until a young trainer named Lorelei discovered the town and fell in love.

It only had a Pokémon centre, Shop and a few houses before.

It now has

1 Pokémon Centre
1 Pokémon Shop
15 Houses
1 Pokémon Contest Hall
4 Pokémon battle Arena's
2 Pokémon Restaurants
1 Game store
2 Pokémon Hotels

The Pokémon Winter Olympics are held here every year, these were started by Lorelei. In case you didn't know, she is part of the Kanto Elite Four.

To the south, it has multiple streams when in the summer, trainers can train their water Pokémon. It's winter 8 months a year, so only the strongest of trainers can survive. Articuno, has been said to bless this small town once a year during the Winter Games.

This was fun!

Oceantlis City (Nr. Hoenn)

An ancient city half sunken into the beautiful bluey-green Mediterranean-like sea. The city is entirely built using a bright cream stone (now slighly broken and beaten) and the weather is warm all year round. There are only a few locals, mostly due to the fact that the city is sloped into the water, making it a difficult place to live. Every Sunday however, the locals set up a market of lava cookies and various local produce.

The sea below Oceantlis City is home to variety of aquatic Pokémon including Finneon, Lumineon, Wailmer, Wailord, Krabby, Kingler, Horsea, Seadra, Kingdra, Skrelp, Clauncher and Corsola.

To the north of the city is an arid area of heathland home to Helioptile, Durant, Heatmor, Venonat, Venomoth, Ekans, Arbok, Seviper, Zangoose and Skarmory. There are also some ruins to the west containing Unown.

There is a gym in the city, broken down half in the sea. It is an outdoor gym with thick vines adorning most of the brick. The gym leader specialises in Fire Pokémon and uses a Magmar, Talonflame, Heatmor and Camerupt.

It is said that Entei became the guardian of the city after it was destroyed by an ancient war caused by as of yet unknown Pokémon, and that Entei returns every 100 years to check on the locals.

This seems like a lot of fun.

Welcome to Scerora Town!

Scerora Town was founded by Jaquii (Myself, derp.) After becoming the Champion in Unova, twice, reclaiming his title from Iris around six months ago, Jaquii set out on his own, with his Pokemon of course, to start a town.

He started with a single house, his house. Not a grand mansion or anything, but more of a small log cabin of sorts.

After his house was built he started a record of the nearby Pokemon:

Seedot
Polywhirl
Lillipup
Togepi
Tirtouga
Bulbasaur
Skrelp
Pancham
Eevee

Another traveler came along, and offered to aid him in the founding of a city. This traveler, was called Ever.

After building a house for Ever, a Pokemon Center, and separate Mart were established. Jaquii Decided he should be the gym leader of the city, alongside Ever. Yes, a double battle gym. The giver of the twin badge. Lol.

Trainers came to battle the Duo Gym, as it was dubbed, and a few decided to live there.

Every year, in Scerora, a Festival/Carnival/Celebration/Fair is held on the day Jaquii settled the town, where vendors of items, breeders of Pokemon, and even other Gym Leaders come to a sort of PWT thing, but with a gym leader only tournament at night.

Just made up something on the spot, pretty fun! It's more of an anime town than a game town, though.

My town is Avon, a small village in the Hoenn region.

A close knit village that was founded many hundreds of years ago, it is known for it's beautiful architecture and equally beautiful flora and fauna. Avon is so peaceful and secluded that the wild Pokemon nearby have no natural fear of humans, and will come and go as they please in and around the village. Avon is known for producing many great artists, musicians, and authors, many of them claiming inspiration from both the natural and man made beauty of their hometown. Avon has no shortage of Pokemon trainers, either; several Hoenn League Champions hailed from there. There is a large Pokemon tournament held in Avon each year, where trainers from all over Hoenn come to compete in both battles and contests. Almost everyone in Avon keeps a dog-like Pokemon as a pet, Mightyena, Manectric, and Houndoom being especially popular. When Avon was first founded, there was a war going on between neighboring villages, and many small towns were being set fire to and looted in the crossfire. A trio of those three Pokemon stood at the entrance to the village and drove out any suspicious character that tried to enter, and a statue of them was built in town square in their honor. Since then, dog like Pokemon have been especially revered in Avon.

Wild Pokemon that can be found surrounding Avon are:

Forest Pokemon:
Caterpie/Metapod/Butterfree
Oddish/Gloom/Vileplume
Meowth/Persian
Scyther
Pinsir
Eevee/Leafeon
Sudowoodo
Murkrow
Poochyena/Mightyena
Seedot/Nuzleaf/Shiftry
Electrike/Manectric
Tropius
Absol

Lake/River Pokemon:
Vaporeon
Wooper/Quagsire
Wingull/Pelliper
Barboach/Whiscash
Feebas/Milotic
