First, welcome! :)

Second, I love Gym Leaders theme collections (and i hope they come back some day) so i like this thread jeje

Finally some corrections:

[P][P][C] not [PPC]

And

"This attack does 30 damage times the amount of Fantina's Pokémon in play. [Including this one]"

I think its not necessary add "including this one".

Well, I've got a lot of Fantina's cards, so prepare to see more of those in the future! :)

Also, lots of old cards had unnecessary text.

Please be alright with the Fantina engine, as I decided to make it a little on the overpowered side, because she is my favourite Gym leader.

By the way, I'm also treating Mega Pokémon like Pokémon Lvl. X. I despise Pokémon-EX. Except Mewtwo.

Fantina's Spiritomb HP: 70 [P]
Basic
Spr_4d_442.png Spr_DP_Fantina.png
Ability: Apparition draw
Once during your turn, [before you attack] when you Place this Pokémon from your hand onto your bench, you may shuffle your hand into your deck, then draw a number of cards equal to the number of Fantina's Pokémon on your bench [Excluding any Fantina's Spiritomb]

[P] Haunt then hide 20
Flip a coin. If heads, return spiritomb and all cards attached to it back to your hand.

[P][P] Create Apparition
Search your deck for 2 basic Fantina's Pokémon and place them on your bench. Do not activate any abilities for any Pokémon placed on the bench this way.

Weakness:
Resistance:
Retreat: 1

Fantina's Shuppet HP: 40 [P]
Basic
Spr_4d_353.png Spr_DP_Fantina.png

[P] Surprise! 10

Weakness: [D]x2
Resistance:
Retreat: 1

Fantina's Banette HP: 80 [P]
353MS.png Stage 1: Evolves from Fantina's Shuppet
Spr_4d_354.png Spr_DP_Fantina.png
Ability: Voodoo Curse
Once during your turn, [before you attack] you may flip a coin. If heads, Flip a coin for each Fantina's Pokémon in play. [Except any Fantina's Banette] If at least one of them is heads, your opponent reveals his or her hand. For each heads, shuffle one of your opponent's item cards into his or her deck. You can't use more than one Voodoo curse ability per turn.

[C] Curse
Fantina's Banette does 10 damage to itself. Your opponent can't play item cards from his or her hand.

[P][C] Black Magic 140
If you have less than 5 Fantina's Pokémon on your bench, this attack does nothing.

Weakness: [D]x2
Resistance:
Retreat: 2

And I guess I should post Fantina's Drifloon so Fantina's Drifblim has something to evolve into. :p

Fantina's Drifloon HP: 70 [P]
Basic
Spr_4d_425.png Spr_DP_Fantina.png

[C] Gust 10

[P][C] Winds of misfortune 30
Whenever your opponent flips a coin during his or her next turn, treat it as tails.

Weakness: [D]x2
Resistance: [F] -20
Retreat: 1

And now, for the big one!

Fantina's Mega Banette HP: 110 [P]
354.pngMega Evolution: Mega Evolves from Fantina's Banette
Mega trait: Foul Play
Once during your turn, you may place 1 damage counter on each of your opponent's Pokémon. [You can't use more than one Foul Play mega trait per turn.]
354-mega.gif Spr_DP_Fantina.png
Mega Evolution Rule: This Pokémon can use any attacks and abilities that the Pokémon under it has.

[P][C] Knock Off 50
Before doing damage, discard all Pokémon tools attached to your opponent's active Pokémon.

[P][P][C] Shadow Claw 90+
If the defending Pokémon has no damage counters on it, this attack's base damage is 120.

Weakness: [D]x2
Resistance: [F][C]-30
Retreat: 2

Mega traits work like ancient traits, but are Pokémon-specific.

This isn't the end of the Fantina engine! Stay tuned!

And I guess I'll repost Drifblim from May's CaC contest tomorrow, as well...

Fantina's Drifblim HP: 140 [P]
425MS.png Stage 1: Evolves from Fantina's Drifloon
Spr_4d_426.png Spr_DP_Fantina.png
Ability: Spirit Away
Once during your turn, [Before you attack] if this Pokémon is your active Pokémon, you may return 1 Fantina's Pokémon and all cards attached to it back to your hand. If you do, remove all damage counters from Fantina's Drifblim.

[P] Inflation Gust 40
Fantina's Drifblim's Max HP is now 200 until the end of your next turn. [Benching this Pokémon does not remove this effect]

[P][P][C] Team Spook 70+
Flip a coin. If heads, this attack does 30 more damage. You may ignore this effect for one of these:
if this Pokémon is your only Fantina's Pokémon in play, this attack does 30 more damage.
If you have 2 Fantina's Pokémon in play, this attack does 30 more damage and the defending Pokémon is now confused.
If you have 3 Fantina's Pokémon in play, this attack does 40 more damage and the defending Pokémon is now confused and poisoned.
If you have 4 Fantina's Pokémon in play, this attack does 40 more damage and the defending Pokémon is now burned, confused, and Poisoned.
If you have 5 or more Fantina's Pokémon in play, this attack does 50 more damage and the defending Pokémon is now burned, paralyzed, and poisoned.

Weakness: [D] x2
Resistance: [F] - 30
Retreat: 2

Hm.... Those were all the cards I had in consideration for may, [Drifblim won out] so now I'm out of pre-made ones.

Does anyone have any Ghost-Types for me to craft into Fantina's Cards?

You could try 0ut Rotom. It's a kind of goofy choice, but it's not like it's as farfetched as something like Jasmine with a Tropius.

Well, I'm going to do 2 rotoms! The rotom, and then Rotom Lvl. X. I feel like Pokémon Lvl. X are the most balanced of the special Pokemon forms, not being unplayable [Legends] or too playable [Gen 5/6 EXs].

Fantina's Rotom HP: 60 [L]
Basic
Spr_4d_479.png Spr_DP_Fantina.png
Ability: Ghostly Shift
Once during your turn, when you attack, you may use this ability. Fantina's rotom's type is [P] until the end of your attack.

[C] Possess
Choose one of your opponent's active Pokémon's attacks, and use it as this attack.

Weakness:
Resistance:
Retreat:
Fantina's Rotom Lv.X HP: 90
479OD.png Level up: Put onto Fantina's Rotom
DW_Normal_Rotom_Doll.png Spr_DP_Fantina.png
Ability: Series Circuit
Once during your turn, [Before you attack] when you Put Fantina's Rotom lvl. X onto your active Fantina's Rotom, you may use this ability. Switch this Pokémon with one of your benched Fantina's Pokémon. Then, move as many energy as you like attached to any of your benched Fantina's Pokémon to your new active Pokémon.

[L][C] Bio Spark 10x
This attack does 10 damage times the amount of energy attached to all of your Fantina's benched Pokémon.

Weakness:
Resistance:
Retreat:

Great job on diversity and balancing! My only thought is that Possess should probably cost at least 3 Energy. I say this because Zoroark BW needed 2 to attack, and it was a Stage 1 without an Ability. You could either do 3 Colorless to use it or 2 Lightning to use it. Both seem balanced.

@Athena
Fantina's Pumpkaboo [Small size] HP: 60
Basic
710.gif plat_fantina.gif
[P] Trick or treat!
The defending Pokémon's type is [P] until the end of your next turn.

Weakness: [D] x2
Resistance:
Retreat: 2

Fantina's Gourgeist HP: 100
710.png Stage 1: Evolves from Fantina's Pumpkaboo [Small]
711.gif plat_fantina.gif

[P][C] Shadow sneak 40+
If the defending Pokémon's retreat cost is 0, this attack does 60 more damage.

[P][P][P] Halloween Haunt 80+
This attack does 20 more damage for each [P] Pokémon on your bench.

Weankess: [D] x2
Resistance: [F] - 20
Retreat: 2

Oh, fun! I didn't even think that you could make different ones for the different sizes, so nice creativity on that. :p

Well, they have that mechanic in the game, so why not put in in card form?

the Pumkaboo's first attack may sound similar to a few cards....

Fantina's Pumpkaboo [Average] HP: 70 [P]
Basic
710.gif plat_fantina.gif
[P][C] Pumpkin Roll 20x
This attack does 20 damage times the number of Pumkpaboo and Gourgeist in your discard pile.

Weakness: [D] x2
Resistance:
Retreat: 2

Fatina's Gourgeist [Average] HP: 110 [P]
710.png Stage 1: Evolves from Fantina's Pumpkaboo [Average]
711.gif plat_fantina.gif
[P][C][C] Pumpkin Toss 30X
You may discard as many Fantina's Pumpkaboo or Fantina's Gourgeist from your hand as you like. This attack does 30 damage times the number of cards you discard this way.

[P][P][C][C] Shadow force 90+
If the defending Pokémon has no resistance, this attack does 50 more damage.

Weakness: [D] x2
Resistance: [F] x2
Retreat: 2

Last few cards of the Fantina engine! Can't tell wether to be happy or sad...

Fantina's Gourgeist Lvl. X HP: 140 [P]
711.png Level up: Put onto Fantina's Gourgeist
711.gif plat_fantina.gif

Ability: Hearthome Collect
Once during your turn [Before you attack] when you place Fantina's Gourgeist Lvl. X onto your active Fantina's
Gourgeist, you may search your deck for a card name Fantina, a card named Hearthome city gym, and a card named Relic badge and put them into your hand. Shuffle your deck afterward. You can't use more than one Hearthome Collect per turn.

[P][G][C] Shadow drain 90
Heal 90 damage from this Pokémon.

Weakness: [D] x2
Resistance: [F] - 20
Retreat: 4

Fantina
Supporter
VSFantina.png
When you play this card from your hand, choose 2 of your basic Fantina's Pokémon that can evolve. Search your deck for 1 card that evolves from each of those Pokémon [excluding Pokémon Lvl. X and Mega evolution Pokémon] and put them onto those Pokémon. [This counts as evolving those Pokémon] Shuffle your deck afterwards.

You may only play 1 supporter card per turn.

Hearthome Gym
Stadium
250px-Hearthome_Gym_anime.png
Each Fantina's Pokémon in play [Both yours and your opponents] has no weakness, retreat cost, and all of their attacks are not affected by resistance.

You may only play 1 stadium card per turn. Discard this card if a new stadium card with a different name comes into play.

Relic badge
Item [Pokémon Tool]
50px-Relic_Badge.png
Attach this card to one of your Fantina's pokémon that doesn't already have a Pokémon Tool attached.

If the Fantina's Pokémon this cared is attached to were to be knocked out, flip a coin. if heads, discard Relic badge instead of knocking out your Pokémon. [Your opponent still takes a prize card]

That's it for the Fantina engine! I hope you enjoyed reading these cards as much as I enjoyed making them!

Huzzah, you're starting a set! Now that I'm on my 3rd (4th if my Kalos Leaders are counted) set, I'd like to give you a bit of insight...

Tip #1
Don't get ahead of yourself. The whole point of a set is to maintain authenticity while making cards that reflect your personal taste, so give yourself time to come up with ideas. If you take at least 3 days or more before an update, that's fine as long as the quality is high!

Tip #2
Try to be original, but make sure that any cards you make don't get overcomplicated. The Trading Card Game is full of some pretty hard to understand cards (I still don't know how to use Clefable JNG), but make sure you don't reach the point where you're doing things like "Put a card from your opponent's hand into your hand. If you play that card, return it to your opponent's discard pile." or other really complex things that would put even MTG to shame.

Tip #3
Stay determined. Way too many times have I just gotten out of the groove and gone for several days without updating because of being mentally overwhelmed, so make sure that you update enough to statisfy everyone, but not too much to the point of exhausting ideas!

Tip #4
Have fun! Choose Pokemon that you like, a concept you enjoy, and roll with it! When the entire set is finished, it feels better than ever!

I used this:
http://randompokemon.com/
To get Pokémon. That may have backfired slightly, because there are 23 Grass types and 0 Dragon types. Oh well, I love grass types.

Set list done!

Also, there will be some reprints, because my goal is to create a closed format.

Thanks for the great advice, Jax!

[There may also be a few new Ancient Traits, for each Eeveelution]

Now, it's time for my favourite Eeveelution! Enter Barrage Flareon!
Flareon HP: 100 [R]
133.gif Stage 1: evolves from Eevee
Ω Barrage: This Pokémon may attack twice a turn. [If the first attack knocks out the defending Pokémon, this Pokémon may use it's second attack on the new active Pokémon.]

Ability: Fire Burst
Once during your turn, [Before you attack] you may choose one of your benched Pokémon. If you do, choose one of your opponent's Benched Pokémon. This attack does 20 damage to both Pokémon. You can't use more than 1 Fire Burst ability per turn.

[R][R] Pyro Tackle 60
Flip a coin. If heads, the defending Pokémon is now burned.

Weakness: [W] x2
Resistance:
Retreat: 2
The idea is to Pyro tackle twice, flip heads [75% chance with Ω Barrage, even higher with Victini] and if you opponent flips tails on the burn, you can just use Fire Burst to take a KO [Or the ∆ Plus Jolteon to take 3 Prizes if your opponent has an ability in play]
