TCG Fakes Steffenka's Text-Based Sets - Pokémon: UB

Pokémon Sun & Moon introduced some brand new Pokémon called Ultra Beasts. The concepts and designs of these really interest me, and I wanted to get back into the card creating world, so I thought: Why not make sets based of each UB? Now, there's 8 Ultra Beasts, 4 of which comes in pairs, so I've decided to distribute the Ultra Beasts in the following way:
  • UB-01 Symbiont: Pokémon: UB (Base set) - 95 cards
  • UB-02 Absorption and UB-02 Beauty: Pokémon: UB - Beast Boost - 120 cards
  • UB-03 Lighting: Pokémon: UB - Ultra Charged - 90 cards
  • UB-04 Blaster and UB-04 Blade: Pokémon: UB - Magnetized Space - 100 cards
  • UB-05 Glutton: Pokémon: UB - Draconic Wormhole - 96 cards
Of course Ultra Beasts won't be the only cards in the set. I'll include Pokémon from all generations in each set, along with trainer cards, tools and supporters relating to each Ultra Beast - And I'll of course take requests for Pokémon in each set. I'll start of with the main card from Pokémon: UB - Nihilego-GX:

[Basic] Nihilego-GX HP200 [P]

[P] Venom Drench
This move can only be used, if your opponent's Active Pokémon is Poisoned. Remove 8 damage counters from this Pokémon. Your opponent's Active Pokémon is no longer Poisoned.

[P][P][C] Violent Infection 120
Flip a coin. If heads, your opponent's Active Pokémon is Poisoned. If tails, this Pokémon is now Confused.

[P] Wonder Room GX
As long as this Pokémon is your Active Pokémon, whenever your opponent's Active Pokémon attacks, your opponent flips a coin. If tails, that attack does nothing. (You can't use more than one GX attack in a game).

When your Pokémon-GX is knocked out, your opponent takes 2 Prize cards

Thank you, glad to have introduced you to the Creative Forums! You can request a Pokémon you want to be made into a card, but if you have any ideas for moves or abilities, feel free to add that to the post too :)
 
I'm gonna try doing updates as often as possible, though it might not be too consistent due to homework and other school related activities :)

(If abilities are prevented from being activated, this Pokémon can't be played from your hand).

Put 5 damage counters on each of your opponent's Pokémon.

This move can only be used, if you put this card from your hand onto a Wimpod during this turn. (You can't use more than one GX attack in a game).

A couple of things,
Will you be adding a new mechanic?
Golisopod GX's First Impression seems quite a bit confusing, as there are only 4 or so ways to evolve Grass types on the same turn they are played. Maybe you could give Wimpod an ability which allows first turn evolution?
And lastly, may you please make either Jirachi GX, Gastrodon GX, or Porygon-Z GX.:)

1) Well I kinda already have added the Baby evolution mechanic, but other than that I'm not planning to add any new mechanics, though that may change in the future.
2) Golisopod GX's attack only works if you evolved Wimpod to Golisopod during that turn. It says nothing about the turn having to be the same as when Wimpod was played :p
3) Sure! I'll include the Porygon line within the next update, which should be coming later today :)

Would cards like Garbodor, Alolan Muk, Hex Maniac, and Silent Lab allow you to play Ash-Greninja without having to place it on top of Greninja?

I don't think so, though it's not something I've thought about. I'm thinking either Garbotoxin etc. won't work on Battle Bond, or the Ash-Greninja simply won't be able to be played.
 
This is a nice start! There are very few wording errors, which is impressive considering you're new to this. The only card I'd watch out for when it comes to power level is Beast Ball, since GXs are powerful enough on their own.
I'll request a Tsareena that utilities her regal theme.

I believe if there was an Ability like Garbotoxin in play, Ash-Greninja would not be able to be played on top of Greninja, and rather could only be played directly to the Bench. This is because it's the Ability that enables Greninja to evolve from Ash-Greninja.

For Dragalge's camouflage attack, I recommend putting "As long as this Pokemon is your Active Pokemon" instead of "Until this Pokémon is Switched Out or Knocked Out"
