I wonder if I can use Rainbow Energy to discard with Ninetales' Roast Reveal or use Afterburner to recycle Rainbow energy? Thanks!

Rainbow Energy only provides every type of energy while it is in play. Since your hand and Discard Pile are not in play, you are not able to use Roast Reveal by discarding it or get it back with Typhlosion's Poke-Power.~Mark
