XY Pokédex: Kalos

There are many Steel-type attacks, but Doublade doesn't have claws nor a tail. Maybe Iron Head? But that would look weird in my opinion. I think Doublade can learn it, but I hope for more too. There are very limited Steel-type moves that make sense for it right now, which is why I'm hoping for a signature move for it.

I'd like to see it having some kind of good signature ghost-type attack, seeing as it will likely not be able to use any ghost-type attacks besides Curse and Shadow Claw. Maybe it could have a Ghost-type attack unique to Honedge and Doublade that has to do with wrapping around the target? Actually, if they do that, Cofagrigus could have it too.

Why? Then it wouldn't fit dusknoir. Dusklops is the only one in that line to have bandages wrapped on it

I disagree. Dusknoir has that collar frill that looks like it's made from vestigial Dusklops wrappings, and the hands look like they could be made of wrappings too.

Besides It could always summon Netherworld tendrils from its belly-mouth.

There was a video of Pokemon Smash that showed Honedge using a move which looks a lot like Shadow Sneak

Either way, I can't see it using many Ghost-type attacks.
Wait, how many Ghost-type attacks are there anyway? I know there's plenty of moves, but not all are attacks.

Astonish, Hex, Lick ,Night Shade ,Ominous Wind ,Shadow- ball/claw/force/punch/sneak

(I have a useful app)

That seems like only 4 old ghost-type attacks it could possibly learn, in my opinion.

I count 5, maybe 8:
Astonish, Maybe (it has a cry, right? It could yell)
Hex
Lick, Maybe (That sash could function as an appropriate tongue, and gripping it is said to drain life force if I recall correctly. A loss of life force could conceivably end in paralysis before death)
Night Shade
Ominous Wind
Shadow Ball
Shadow Claw, Maybe (The blade edge could be considered a claw)
Shadow Sneak

I can't see Lick happening, especially since its names in all languages is Licking, Tongue Kiss, Tongue Lick, or Tongue Attack.
Shadow Ball i just don't see because... Where would it come from? I mean, I can't see a sword building up a ball of energy out of nowhere. With Astonish, it's pretty much only screaming in English. All other languages, it's a terrifying expression or image.
Brycen_Vanillish_Astonish.png
And Hex, now that I think about it, would only be useful if it had a move that causes status problems, like Will-o-Wisp or something.

Like I said, the sash can conceivably function as a tongue.

Where would a Shadow Ball "come from" when a Gastly, Misdreavus, Shuppet, or Shedinja uses the move? Not to mention a Zubat, Porygon, Girafarig, Koffing, Dunsparce etc.? Perhaps wherever they feel like.

Either way you write it, Astonish works.

Yes, Hex is only useful if there's a status move to build up from, but we were only speculating on damaging moves, and there's no reason to believe Honedge and Doublade couldn't learn any status inflicting moves.

Drohn are you going to include different forms in the pokedex? such a furfrou different forms from grooming?

I will add the pictures for the different forms in a spoiler tag. It should be done in a few minutes.

Edit: Done.

I've numbered the Pokémon revealed by Kosthedin and Jadieekong.

Fact: Ruby and Sapphire had the longest dex entries of any other games.
I'm sad they're still so short in XY.

Pokémon that can have a new evo/prevo

This is to cut down on the number of posts on the rumor thread, as people keep on guessing Pokémon that may have evolution, but can't because it's been confirmed in the dex.

List of Pokémon that may have another evolution:

Floette (There's a space between it and Budew in the Central dex)
Doublade (There's a space between it and Venepede in the Central dex)
Solrock (There are three spaces between it and Wingull in the Coastal dex)
Sawk (There are five spaces between it and Nidoran♀ in the Coastal dex)
Mantine (There are three spaces between it and Remoraid in the Coastal dex)
Octillery (There's a space between it and Chinchou in the Coastal dex)
Lanturn (There's a space between it and Lapras in the Coastal dex)
Magcargo
Sliggoo
Stunfisk
Beartic

Pokémon that may have a pre-evolution:

Smeargle (There's a space between Scolipede and it in the Central dex)
Wingull (There are three spaces between Solrock and it in the Coastal dex)
Carbink (Honestly have no idea what this is, so it could be an evolved Pokémon)
Remoraid (There are three spaces between Mantine and it in the Coastal dex)
Chinchou (There is a space between Octillery and it in the Coastal dex)
Lapras (There's a space between Lanturn and it in the Coastal dex)
Slugma
Skorupi
Karrablast
Purrloin
Cubchoo

And no, Meowstic won't have two separate dex entries.

Emolga is between Sylveon and Yanma. Sorry.

I'm convinced at this point there is no evos besides Sylveon (to existing pokemon that is).

I mean how likely is it that no one has encountered a single one by now?

(Unless they put them all in the post-E4 natdex DP style of course, but I don't see why they would when the regional dexes are full of old pokemon)

Its really like Mega-evos are doing that job instead this time..
