I wasn't sure on how to think of it, but Darkrai EX isn't a very popular card any more, nor are decks with it.
Is Darkrai a fallen card? It was at one point a nearly 14 dollar card, now it's a 5-6 dollar card?

Does Darkrai not stand a chance in this format? Thus not being popular?
 
It just lacks the hp and stats to compete. It is just power creeped out of usefulness by new cards, like how yeveltal was beaten by gardivoir gx
 
In Standard, yeah. Aside from its low HP, its setup just isn't quick enough to do significant amounts of damage. In Expanded however, you could say it has a dominating presence. Kind of like how Shaymin EX rotated, but still isn't that bad of a card.
 
Losing Shaymin ex reduced its speed. Field blower keeps Exp Share from maintaining the high energy count after knock outs. Choice Band makes it easier to knock out Darkrai. And it hard to make the damage high enough to hit the meta’s evolved GXs like Gardevoir

It’s a beast in expanded thanks to all the dark support there
