Well, I don't see a trainer putting what looks like a mind control device on a Pokemon's head either. I really don't. :/

You're striving waay to much for believeability, if you ask me... do you cut someone with a razor-sharp edge (*coughscythercough*) and not instantly wound them, badly? Anyone see the first season of the Yugioh anime? *shudder*
