English Gym Promos Coming to Southeast Asia — First Time Outside Japan!

Players who attend Twilight Masquerade prereleases in Southeast Asia will receive three English promo cards with exclusive “Pokemon Card Gym” stamps! They include Pidgeot ex, Arven, and Luminous Energy; however, there will be other cards released as well.

This is the first time English cards have ever featured Gym stamps. Japan always gets a new set of Gym promos every few months for their Gym tournaments. However, they’re usually brand new or feature alternate artwork. In this case, the English cards are merely reprints with the Gym logo.

Are the card backs the same making them TPCi circuit legal?

Yes! Southeast Asia gets English cards from TPCi, so the cards are identical except for the stamp. Some players have used the stamped promos in Australian regionals earlier this season so they are legal for play.
