Ruling ascension

okey i was wondering with ascension can i use that attack my first round and evolve him that round? because it says it counts as evolving and i was wondering if i could do it since baby pokemon has the same power and such. also with jirachi make a wish can i also evolve my pokemon same round he was put down

Anything past regular evolution i.e. putting it down from your hand (discluding Rare Candy) is usable on the first turn, unless it's Wally's Training, which is a Supporter.
