I thnk the pokemon short is in 3-d like the one in pokemon 8
it doesnt really look like 3-d to me, but maybe i'm just not seeing it right.

Yeah, i think the short is in 3D and the movie itself will be normal.

That would be awesome because it will have graphics like in pokemon stadium 1 nd 2 colosseum and XD pokemon dash and smash bros 1 and 2. Note I only used the games to refer the graphics to the movie to get the idea what it will look like when we watch it.
