♦ Metagame Deck Center Article Writing Contest ♦
Hello everyone and welcome to this article writing contest. As many of you may have noticed, the Metagame Deck Center has become rather outdated recently. Things need to be added and revised. Activity has been on the decline lately due to outdated metagame discussion. This contest will hopefully be an enjoyable contest for its participants and will boost the overall quality of the Metagame Deck Center.

The Contest
We are looking for high quality articles to put in the Metagame Deck Center. The best articles written for each deck topic will be added to the Metagame Deck Center. Anyone can choose to enter this contest, there are no contestant limitations or sign ups. Once you are finished with your article(s), simply PM it to me ([mod]Vulpix Yolk[/mod]). Once an article is submitted, you may not PM me revisions. Below is a list of deck topics that you can submit an article about for this contest.
  • Eelektrik Variants
  • Celebi Variants
  • Terrakion Variants
  • Dark Type Variants
  • Trainer Lock Variants
  • Groudon Variants

  • [mod]Vulpix Yolk[/mod]
  • [smod]Celebi23[/smod]
  • [mod]Zorua[/mod]

The Rules
Write Extensive and High Quality Articles: All articles submitted need to be fairly extensive and of the highest quality possible. You are better off writing about a deck that you know more about than a deck that you don't have much experience with. Please cover as many aspects as you can for each topic. For instance, if you are choosing "Dark Type Variants" as your topic, please include both Straight Darkrai Variants and Zoroark Variants. Do not only choose one.

All Articles Must Meet Metagame Deck Center Requirements:
All of the article you submit must meet the Metagame Deck Center writing requirements. Said requirements can be found here. You do not need to reserve an article in advance; however, all other writing requirements do apply. The article should include match ups against every deck listed above. You may list other deck match ups as well, but this is not required.

Eliminate Bias: Odds are that you are writing about a deck that you enjoy playing. This being said, try to eliminate as much bias as you can when writing your article. Try to state the facts as clearly and truthfully as you can.

Submit Articles Within the Stated Deadline:All submissions need to be entered by June 11th Any articles submitted after 12 pm (PST) on June 11th will not be entered into the contest. Do not expect results to be posted shortly. Consider there will be a large amount of reading for us judges to do; therefore, judging process may take us a decent amount of time.

Article Criteria

We are looking for several things when grading articles:

  • Truthful information that is relative to the Metagame
  • Clear and effective use of the English language
  • Extensive knowledge regarding the deck being discussed
  • Visual appeal
Try to write the best article that you can. The articles that are most extensive and the articles that provide the best insight on the deck will be selected. Grammar and overall looks of the article are less important, but be reasonable. Put as much effort forth as you can.

But Vulpix Yolk, writing an article is hard, why should I care again?

Prizes! Prizes will be awarded to the writers of the best articles. Only the first ranked article for each deck topic will receive the following prizes:
  • The article being published under your account in the Metagame Deck Center
  • 10 unused Pokémon TCG Online Betacodes (sent through PM)
  • Two Grains of Sand
Let's see a decent amount of submissions! Good luck, and I hope you enjoy this contest.

Can you also be a winner of multiple deck topics that you sent in or can you be just the winner of one?
