Pokédex: Kalos

The new region is filled with Pokémon; including many that we have never seen before! This thread will give an overview of the Pokémon that are found in Kalos, their types, abilities, location, and move sets. Note that the content is being updated based on official sources. This Pokédex will include the new Pokémon that are introduced in the 6th generation. Once the other Pokémon that appear in Kalos are known we will update this list to include the complete Regional Pokédex.

Which moves will they be able to learn? What abilities will they possess? Will they evolve? Post your thoughts and speculation about the new Pokémon that are found in the Kalos region here! Don’t forget to use arguments and to elaborate/explain in your posts!

Pokédex: Kalos

Map and Pokémon Locations
(10-25-2013 06:33 PM)Rusty Sticks Wrote:  Courtesy of Bobdor on Reddit, we have a map of the locations of all Pokemon in the game, be them found in grass, water, rocks, you name it.

Map (pretty big)

The legend is at the bottom left. Please note that due to an error on Bobdor's part, Diglett CANNOT be found at Route 13. The correct Pokemon is Dugtrio. Diglett can only be obtained through breeding.

Wow, this looks amazing!
I can tell this will be a huge help in going through X/Y for many people!

(small note, I think the X/Y demo confirmed that Litleo had Unnerve, Helioptile had Dry Skin and Sylveon had Cute Charm)

It's summer time and I hang on a vine
They’re gonna make me into sweet red wine
Hanging around like a fruit on a tree
Waiting to be picked, come on cut me free

Some level up moves for the starters have been revealed. True we don't know the level they learn the moves, but you could still list them.

I will add the moves when more of the learnable moves and the level on which they are learned are known! Smile

RE: Pokédex: Kalos

Thank you! For the descriptions I'm planning to wait until the official Pokédex entries are known.

So what do you all think so far of the new Pokédex? I've seen a lot of speculation about what kind of Pokémon people wanted; it seems like Gamefreak listened to some of them. We have a Tyrannosaurus Rex, a Panda, a Lion, and a Fire-type starter that will probably not become Fighting-type! Unless it gets skilled in Wooden Sword Fighting.. Hmmm... haha.. Is what you hoped for already in here?

I'm looking forward to see what Clauncher evolves into. People have been mentioning Water/Electric, which would be really nice I think! Not sure what that is based on, however. We also still don't have any new information about Orroto.

Clauncher is based on a Lobster.
Actually, you could do a list on what real-world animals/plants/things the Pokémon are based on.

Actually, you could do a list on what real-world animals/plants/things the Pokémon are based on.
Actually if you read the description Clauncher was given, a pistol shrimp is more accurate. Also explains the one large claw used to fire projectiles.

"It uses its one oversized claw not only to seize prey but also to shoot condensed water at others as a projectile."

I really wanted a Lobster Pokémon, too. Sad

There's still hope! Clauncher may evolve into a lobster that can attack with both claws.
His color scheme would fit the rare blue lobster.
Internet says one in every 2 million lobsters are born blue.

RE: Pokédex: Kalos

Reading this list gets me all excited for X and Y. It's less than a month away!!

I'm guessing that Liteo will have a middle evolution. The jump from a simple looking cub to a monstrous fire lion/lioness is a bit big.

Heiloptile will possibly evolve into a raptor/umbrella lizard combination. I say umbrella lizard because frilled lizard just sounds so....boring.
Maybe that's where its normal typing comes from.

This is an awesome list.
Thanks for making it!

I don't accept FC's anymore. Too much space wasted.

The frilled lizard is an actual animal, and it's kinda scary looking to! They are known to run on their hind legs with there frill open; so perhaps we'll see an evolution that looks similar to the Jurassic Park Dilophosaurus.
