i made a save in pearl

and i accedently erased it and then i made a new one


and now its about red gyarados

since when is there a red gyarados

It's Gyarados' shiny form. You can get one in any game where shinies exist, if I'm not mistaken (I haven't confirmed this for FireRed/LeafGreen, but I'm pretty sure it will work). You must have been lucky enough to encounter one.

I wasn't talking about necountering one. I was talking about a new story that they showed at the beggining of the game.

Thats very strange. Have you ever used an action replay on your pearl or hacked your DS in any way? If so, then thats what happened.

In the beginning of Pearl, actually, the Red Gyarados is the way that you go into the wild your rival. Your rival wants to find it, so you go into the wild and are encountered by Starly. Then you choose your first Pokemon. Other than that, the Red Gyarados holds no significant value to the storyline.

Are you sure it is a brand new storyline? I'm playing my Pearl version at this very minute, and the same thing is happening to me, but that was what happened the first time around. I don't think there's anything out of the ordinary of what you are describing.

Strange. Diamond's story is different to start with, so I assumed pearls would be the same. Sorry, seems like its normal

Diamond and Pearl have the exact same story and dialogue except that in Pearl they substitute 'Palkia' for 'Dialga' and 'space' for 'time'. .-.
